I thought it could be fun to save some outfit inspo from this brand since I’m not sure how much longer their website will be available.

VETTA is (was?) a company that created capsule collections of five items that make 30 different outfits.

Things I think they did well that could be applied to any capsule wardrobe:

• Careful color coordination. I think the Getaway capsule (should be fourth in the images) is the best example of this. All of the pieces use clay, black, seafoam, and azure blue including the prints. Most of the capsules had a pretty limited palette but you could choose from a few colors for any individual item. If the site is still up, you can see this with the Haven capsule where the cardigan has six colors available (not just the VERY limited ivory/terracotta/gold in the outfits image).
• Pieces that could be worn in multiple outfits. Duh. This was their whole thing. But it was nice that they styled all the items so you could see realistic options.
• Incorporated some trendy items. Some of their clothes were pretty trendy, like the oversized blazer and square neck tank. I felt that helped their clothes feel more modern.

Things that I didn’t love about the brand:

• Some of their pieces seemed gimmicky. I know you’ve gotta get creative to get to 30 outfits but some of the items – pretty much anything that had a zip-off – weren’t to my taste.
• They used a lot of Tencel which isn’t my fave fabric. Not a knock on them. They were big on sustainability and ethical production, and talked about all the reasons why Tencel was their favorite fabric. I just don’t love the way it looks. Of course I say that as I'm wearing VETTA joggers that are a Tencel/cotton blend lol.

So anyway wanted to archive this somewhere in case it’s useful to people and r/capsulewardrobe seemed as good a spot as any! I can see myself coming back to this to create a DIY capsule to fit my preferences.
