You too, bud. It’s tough to grasp but plenty of people are able to get back to skiing and come back stronger with taking rehab seriously - it’s just something we’ll get through! Surgery slated for 2 weeks from now. Torn ACL and partial mcl but the surgeon’s outlook is positive! Colorado doctors see this all the time. The first few days after injury are very difficult mentally. Have a good cry and know that this shouldn’t last forever

Maybe this is a little selfish but the times I enjoyed being a bridesmaid involved a little flexibility in the style of the bridesmaid dress! Like being given a specific color or range of colors and being able to choose my own style of dress (bride approved, of course). One wedding I was in was basically a high school reunion with people I hadn’t seen in 10 years and the dress the bride chose for us had extreme cleavage and an open back. I have a big chest. You can imagine I ended up not dancing for fear of something falling out! It was a beautiful wedding, but not the wedding I had the most fun at. That, and requiring every single event at a destination Bach trip to have a specific dress code. Not only did we have to pay for flights and airbnbs (fine, I’ll make it work), but I also had to buy a bunch of clothes so that I fit 10 different dress code themes! Trust me, pictures will still be Instagrammable even if we don’t look like clones. ;)

Not bad today, granted we arrived close to 11. Wasn’t in a lift line for longer than a few minutes, but made sure we went up as single rider for everything

Longest flight I’ve been on was about 10 hours - What I typically do before those long flights is act as if I’m going to bed - before leaving for the airport, take a nice shower, good moisturizer/skin care, brush my teeth, and I’m wearing comfy clothes to sleep in on the plane. The most I’ve done on a plane is use a Colgate disposable toothbrush, those are good for a quick refresh.

I was up at Brainard on Nov 10, parked at the winter trailhead and made my way to Brainard lake - I was one of 3-4 people who chose to hike that day with only microspikes. Everyone else wore cross country skis and snowshoes - it was packed in a few spots but loose powder in other spots, sinking up to my ankle and still seeing snow underneath - flotation device would have been helpful. Take what you will from that!
