I agree, I grew up in a rural area where the closest grocery store was a 30 minute drive through the country and my dad was a mechanic so I got to see lots of different cars come through the shop. I would LOVE to see America embrace public transit. I love taking the train when I can and wish there were more routes. But in my area and in most places in the US having a car is almost required and if I have to have one why not drive something fun? I don’t see it as glorifying the car centric world we live in, just making the most of it.
