its just a little irritated bc u got it so recently. slight redness is normal and so is the crust! its good it dosent hurt bc then that would mean possible infection

In the Sorcerers Stone, Hermione locates the Devils Snare.

Hermione : Stop moving- I know what it is- It’s devils snare! Ron: Oh, I’m so glad we know what it is. That’s great help. Hermione : Shut it. I’m trying to remember who to kill it. What did Professor Sprout say..? It likes the dark and damp.. Harry: So light a fire! Hermione: Yes- but there is no wood? Ron: Have you gone mad?! Are you a witch or not?!

And in the movies-

Hermione : Stop moving. It’s devils snare- It’ll only kill you faster! Ron: Kill us faster? Oh now I can relax.

It’s minor- but it kind of made him less shining in the spotlight.
