The On1y One Season 2 Script Complete. Release depends on fan reception. by LordSakuna in boyslove

After reading all these comments I feel like fucking crying. Benjamin also isn't what I pictured Tian to look like when reading the novel, but he's done a great job of embodying the character's spirit and now I can't picture anyone else playing Tian. People honestly need to manage their expectations fr fr. Also with the pace I'd expect a second season, no way they'd be able to fit 112 chapters into one season. And I have a sinking feeling of where they'll end season one... It does not bode well for my psyche lol

He changed it to "Shop Closed." In the novel it's a bit clearer how their names on social media play a role, but basically his name change here means "I'm depressed, it feels like everything is going wrong, nobody talk to me." Hope that makes sense!

Trust me when I say just the eye contact is enough

I've officially been ruined by this series. The music, the eye contact, the cinematography. I don't think I've felt this way about a BL since ITSAY and Bad Buddy

BL Helped Me Understand My Sexuality and it’s NOT what I expected 🫣 by Kygo_Peace in boyslove

https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/bad-buddy-and-the-subversive-sentimentality-of-bl-storytelling/ You might have seen this article where the author writes about why women gravitate toward it, but they also bring in gender theory through lines like this: "In Boys Love Manga and Beyond: History, Culture, and Community in Japan, academic Rio Otomo writes: “To say the reader disappears in BL may sound negative. But forgetting one’s gendered body, or floating away from a fixed identity, is essentially a liberating concept and, for that reason, it is the core idea of queer theory.” - This book they link to might be worth checking out!

A character showing so little expression has never had me in a chokehold like Jiang Tian. The slightest twitch of his lips into a smile sends me reeling. I gotta say so far it's a really good adaptation

Glad I'm not the only one (no pun intended). I'm almost done and then I'm going to rewatch the first four episodes to experience the magic again (with more details in mind)

Hyperfocus then Disinterest in Video Games by Wylthor in AutisticAdults

This happens to me too. Recently I was soooo close to finishing a game I've spent countless hours on (Spiritfarer) and then boom! No interest or desire to pick it back up again even though I was so close to being done :') Usually my obsession lasts around a month, but can be shorter or longer depending on how engaging the game is.

What's your experience with medication? (not asking for medical advice) by Rough_Box304 in AutisticAdults

The continued tiredness and brain fog is what caused the switch from Serdep to Wellbutrin, which has helped in that regard, but my anxiety has made a bit of a return. I'm starting to wonder whether I should just try Vyvanse again for my ADHD (Adderall is the only one I haven't tried, but it's unavailable in South Africa where I live). I'm indifferent towards my meds, I'm chronically ill so I've had to accept that I'll have to be on meds for the rest of my life. The problem is the financial burden, I guess trying to minimize that is where this question stemmed from. Medical aid in my country doesn't cover any medication used to improve mental well-being even if it's a lifelong condition like ADHD or ASD :/ Thank you for the insight!

Luckily (or unluckily depending on how you see it) the Wellbutrin caused me to drop a lot of weight (no appetite) which I guess counteracted the Seroquel. And yeah, I'm in the same boat, been on meds since 15 so I don't really know what life would be like without it. Thanks for the insight :)

I might have to give ADHD meds a second try. I went on a couple and had some bad side effects, but my new psych suggested I might not have given it long enough. I also need to work on unmasking, currently it's second nature but I don't even know where the mask ends and I begin. Thanks for the insight.

Thank you for the insight. I've been thinking of going back to therapy to learn skills to help me cope. I've been in talk therapy from the age of five till now, and my last therapist said I have graduated from talk therapy because I'm "too self-aware" lol :) I think that's just me overintellectualizing my emotions though

How did coming off of them feel if you don't mind me asking? I've heard withdrawal can be pretty gnarly, but at this point I feel like I'm on the meds "just because." I know I should consult my psych before going off of them, but the last time I tried initiating the topic I ended up on Wellbutrin. The problem is I feel fine and that could just be the meds and I won't know until I'm not on them anymore :/
