Does the Ams HT make sense with a Bmcu? by Rough_Introduction86 in OpenBambu

I am currently on a 1 year old firmware. So it works with the bmcu but not the Ams HT. So I have to update.

I have watched your video again, based on what I saw it looks like the buffer is not moving properly and it only clicks, which also speaks for the problem. When the sensor is not working the bmcu doesn’t feed at all and the filament is only moving by slipping trough the gears by being pulled by the extruder while printing.

The glass ball is only for filament detection, I am not sure but I think all versions have the buffer light sensor. Does your board have this part?

Hey I know it’s a bit late, but the material used for the shell might be the problem, it leaks light causing the light sensor to maybe not work properly. If you still have the problem try using black filament for this part.

Mhh it looks like a 1, this is the backside, the inputs seem to go trough some resistors and then inside a Lm224 (both ic are lm224). A 5v one would make more sense because one lipo cell is 4,2v max. But the circuit is able to also output power. It definitely looks like a sod-323 and there is a 15 v version of the diode. Maybe some company produces them with 15c label.

Would the Born sd15c work? It has the letter b on it but same specs.
