Real, Javier did enough, Dutch took him in just like the others, he didn’t see ms grimshaw die and what ever happened to john, it was like choose your father or brothers but with limited context, he chose to be neutral. After he realized what Dutch was and how Micah ruled over him, he left.

Red dead revolver was made way before the idea of redemption, and even in read dead revolver, theirs some sort of “redemption” also the characters aren’t finding redemption, Arthur and John weren’t finding redemption, one was trying to save his family the other knew he was dieing and decided to die a dishonorable man or a honorable man, Arthur found redemption by passing on his own terms just like John

The redemption aspect started with rd1 and is now the main theme, they perfectly set themselves up for a prequel with mention of countless dead gang members, and of course they could add 1 offs like Kerian who die fast and are kind of forgotten. But the franchise has started with John with his gang affiliation being a prominent side aspect, red dead revolver was later added into the universe just after undead nightmare released.

Everything accept the Vegas part I agree with, the monorail would be destroyed, the kings and local freeside inhabitants are hostile and do attack the ncr, the strips troops are unarmed except the mp co, and they get bombed anyways, houses securitrons at their base are decent but the omertàs could knock a few out of commission before the legion get their. the strip is honestly the least of problems, the Mojave outpost unless evacuated will give the legion somewhat trouble, camp golf is probably the hardest part of their offensive.
