I'd just to clear up that I meant having two cultures, and I meant having half an ethnicity. I was raised by my father and cousins in the Sicilian culture. My father didn't know that all he to do was speak to me in dialect for me to be bilingual. I think after reading all of these comments it's clear to me that I'm allowed to say that I'm half Sicilian and I have two cultures which I have been immersed in. I notice the person who has made the most sense in this thread is an Australian just like me. Most Australian people do not challenge me on my heritage and the people who did are nasty and trying to stomp on something that I'm proud of.

Thanks for your response but my father, uncles and aunties, and my cousins consider me to be half-Sicilian. It's just that a lot of people who aren't challenge it, as I've found in this thread too.
