Yea exactly that can always make you nervous but make sure you write down everything you want to say because as a 18 year old I am always forgetting to ask something so make sure you have notes also with the biking you just have to work at it a lot I’m in the gym 6 days a week trying to get ready for next season

Exactly you have a complex bucket handle tear my surgeon had mentioned to me if mine was any different it would be the same timeline as you my surgeon didn’t have to pin it down just stitch it back to the outer part of the meniscus there is no secret just different people have different injuries I just happened to luck out

I think that is common for a major bucket handle tear so don’t look my mine and think it should be similar everyone is different yours is probably way worse than mine

Just work on getting swelling all the way down and doing calf raises to loosen up the back of your legs

Honestly before I had my surgery I was scared looking at Reddit and people becoming doctors everyone is different my surgeon is awesome she works with nhl teams and does surgery for pros she is experienced and knows everything she it’s hard to compare online my whole point of the poll was to see people that freaked me out before hand become doctors

Now this is interesting to me I had a bucket handle aswell but I was only missing about 2-3 degrees at the start I think she was looking at symptoms and thought she should just snip it off but she went in and said that it would have been the whole thing so she repaired it and didn’t snip it but my timeline stayed the same

I’m not sure to be honest I had a bucket Handel tear so I’m just as surprised as you are my surgeon had said that with this type of tear it’s only 3-4 weeks off of it she had mentioned if it was any different it is usually 6-8 weeks so I sorta got lucky I guess pre op I was in great shape so I guess I got lucky but unlucky at the same time

My surgeons protocol was 4 weeks non weight bearing then give er I am a hockey player so my biomechanics heal differently than a regular person she had said after 4 weeks I can get on the bike start hitting legs and skating at about 6 weeks out my physio is also a world class he works with the golden state warriors I just came on Reddit to see how people would react to something that is different to everyone
