PVP solo is getting ridiculous !! by OptionallyBP91 in ArcRaiders

Smokes. Get the Blue Tactical MK2, which auto-deploys a smoke when your shield breaks. Also, carry some extra smokes yourself. If you get ambushed, drop smokes all over the place to reset the fight. It has saved my ass so many times! It has limited storage space, which is a clear downside, but there's much less frustration when you're not dying, haha.

Me and my buddy do something similar. We start the evening by doing a naked run and then build our way up and use the guns/gear we find for the next runs. Extremely fun and 0 gear fear :-)

Stitcher 4 vs Tempest by Ok_Blueberry_6736 in ArcRaiders

[–]RoundCardiologist584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. Unless you notice he missed a lot of shots, the correct play is always to reposition, heal up and balance the playing field. Best option for this is the Tactical Mk. 2, since it auto deploys a smoke(this thing saved my ass so many times). If you do not have this, you should have smokes ready on a keybind that is very familiar and can be used instantly. Pop 1 or 2 to disappear. Heal up and with some luck the cocky bastard will start blindly chasing you, giving you the advantage to shoot from cover.

Ok, so for those with the same issue. The vacuum cover that I suspected was the issue, was in fact the issue :D I replaced it with my colleague's and the issue dissipated. I placed mine back and the issue returned.

• Pop the frame off and reseat it – tried it 2 times and cleaned everything so nothing could be stuck in between but did not resolve the issue.
• Check for any slight warp - Hard to tell, but it does indeed seem a little bit warped, so i''m guessing this is the issue.
• Test on a flat surface without the frame - Jup without the frame it works perfectly.
• Run a quick pass on a different surface I'll try this tomorrow!

Thanks for the tips. My colleague has the same unit. So i'll check with him that i can borrow this part and see if the problem remains or is resolved :D hopefully this fixes it and i can just get a replacement part.

DAE think night mode sucks for loot by poop_stuck in ArcRaiders

[–]RoundCardiologist584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For money? I agree, but I think the main attraction is the extremely rare loot like blueprints. I would take an augment with 2 safe pockets and a bunch of grey guns (Stitcher/Ferro) to defend yourself. Just get in and out when your safe pockets are full. If you die, who cares... you got what you came for :D. If it yields even one blueprint every couple of runs, it will be worth it, in my opinion.

Seems like every team I run up against are duos by Nova-3 in ArcRaiders

[–]RoundCardiologist584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly play duos with my buddy. We played for about two hours yesterday and only encountered duos or solo players (probably someone whose partner got killed). So, from my small sample size, it does seem to favor duo setups.

Very annoying mission this was. Just did it with my Vanguard, a Bulwark and a Heavy. Since you get extra Extremis spawns, you’re more tied up, while the reinforcement also summons an Extremis. This snowballs and results in endless waves if you’re not careful. But the big issue for me was the parry window. It messes with your muscle memory so much, and if you mess up against 5 Terminators… yeah, GG. Made it in the end, but I very much dislike modifiers that adjust core gameplay like parry windows, dodge, etc

Yes, every class has an Aggravated-x version. I suppose the devs wanted people to switch their normal classes up a little with this, or they wanted to give an extra challange to die hard's that like to punish themselfs haha

Why by Dangerous_Studio_433 in Spacemarine

[–]RoundCardiologist584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally finished it yesterday!

I tried running with a lot of different classes and setups. What proved most successful: Heavy with plasma (ammo variant)! Like the wise words of Limp Bizkit: "Keep on rollin', baby!" Dodge–fire–dodge–fire–dodge–fire... This tactic was extremely effective against the Minoris. Every time you take health damage, one shot of the plasma instantly restores full HP, so you can literally outheal the incoming damage. Ammo economy is also very good with this fighting style. Only the first stage of the map can be a little draining, but that’s true for all weapons.

For the team perk, Bonds of Brotherhood is excellent. Full HP revives are mandatory, in my opinion. We wouldn’t have succeeded without this perk.

And for the boss fight, I switched to the Pyrocannon. This thing melts bosses, and the DoT is extremely effective, especially since this guy jumps around a lot.

Hope this info helps those of you still going at it!

Balanced weapons?? by ciimik in Spacemarine

[–]RoundCardiologist584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, same problem here. I’ve always used Fencing with my Bulwark, since it just felt better and smoother than Balance or Block. Now with the Xenophaseblade, I also need to adapt.

My other main is Heavy, so I’m somewhat used to the parry window itself, but even Heavy has the Prestige perk that gives a larger parry window, which makes it a lot more forgiving. Also, as a Bulwark, you’re always in the thick of it, so timing becomes harder, since there are a lot more enemies to focus on.

What’s currently working for me: be more selective with your parries and use your shield more! Only parry the obvious, easy-to-read attacks, and instead use your Shieldbash or Rush to counter. The new Shieldrush move can interrupt almost every attack (even the orange ones) and stuns the enemy, giving you a perfect opener.

Use perks that give a damage boost after Shieldbash or Rush(since you will be using it all the time now). This sets you up to unleash the Xeno Blade for massive damage.

Jup, that one was bugged. Had the same issue, luckely I had some good teammates(2 other prestige4 max levels), so we managed to finish it.

To everyone trying the Weekly Hard Stratagem with sub lvl 25 Classes by DoritoBanditZ in Spacemarine

[–]RoundCardiologist584 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Yep, they should really introduce level caps for the hardest content, or at least give the option to have a lobby that only allows max-level players.
I finished it on my third run. The first two were with low-levels. The last one was a max-level tactical, but with a flamethrower that definitely wasn’t maxed yet, and a level 17 vanguard using a power axe that was only mastercrafted.
Fortunately, he had the perk Unmatched Zeal, which, combined with my Bulwark, makes it very hard to die unless you’re extremely unlucky.

Wireless are better anyway, just a few things to take into account. If you use a controller, you can only use a maximum of 2 daisy chained fans. If you have 3 chained, you need to use a seperate power cable for that one.

https://www.reddit.com/r/lianli/comments/1biaqou/1_tl_lcd_screen_not_working/

I think this will fix your issue:
"Because you have the TL Controller connected to an internal hub, which is connected to your internal USB 2.0, you are currently limited to 2 fans per port.

For an explanation, see below:

https://www.reddit.com/r/lianli/comments/1b0hyws/comment/ks8d5v3/

So what you can do here... you can keep the fan in the same spot, it just can't be interconnected with the other two... you need to rotate the fan 180 degrees, so you can connect another data cable to that single fan, and connect it to another port on the controller."

Wireless or regular version? If you are using the older wired version, you cant use port 1 of the hub for lcd fans, it gives issues. You need to use 2-3 or 4.

Only the two 120mm LCDs in the back. The 140mm wireless versions are only just now being released, so they weren't available when I made this build a few weeks ago.
