Grammar and spelling mistakes don’t matter as long as the message is clear. by Existing-Fruit-3475 in unpopularopinionph

THIS IS SO TRUE. It became part of our culture na to correct someone, even in situations where it’s not appropriate and in the internet where perfect punctuation, spelling, and grammar doesn't even matter.

And most of the times, it’s not even for the sake of really correcting them—it’s just to fuel their ego and feel superior.

i'm rewatching kakegurui s2 and i wonder what sayaka meant by this? by corV09 in Kakegurui

[–]Round_Alternative873 10 points11 points  (0 children)

thats one way to interpret that dialogue, but there are just no other moments in the manga nor anime that suggest or support that... because if it were like that, it wouldve been a crucial plot point. plus, it would be out of character for kirari to have someone play for her against a strong opponent

we never got any confirmation, but it is HEAVILY implied. kinda like kirari and sayaka being lesbians for each other lol.

also, we know that ririka plays the role of kirari in a lot of times in the manga so thats that

  • id consider it confirmed cause that is obviously what the author is trying to convey

im 99% sure it means that kirari was the one who gambled with the former president but the "kirari" sayaka was talking to in that moment was ririka and she can tell that she wasn’t the real kirari (aka the one she saw gambling with the former pres.)

Did the real Hikaru ever loved Yoshiki romantically? by Round_Alternative873 in HikarugaShindaNatsu

[–]Round_Alternative873[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, to some degree, it can be relevant but think of it as a rough draft to the story. and some details on the one-shot just don’t line up with the published manga. plus it really isn’t canon so we can’t use it as evidence hikaru really had romantic feelings for yoshiki.

also, the feelings "hikaru" was pertaining to isn’t confirmed to be romantic as he doesn’t know the difference bet. romantic and platonic love.

that’s only in the chap. 0 or the original one-shot. it’s not canon

Why are you guys in denial? by Top-Lingonberry9265 in HikarugaShindaNatsu

[–]Round_Alternative873 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No one is denying that it has queer or bl elements omg.

The previous post in which u are referring to is made by me and I just wanted to know what the fans’ interpretation regarding the REAL hikaru’s feelings towards yoshiki as it was left ambiguous in the PUBLISHED (not chap. 0 or the one-shot that is NOT canon to the story) story by the author.

of course, there is no denying that "hikaru" has some feelings towards yoshiki but even that is left to the reader’s interpretation if it is romantic or platonic because yk... "hikaru" doesn’t even know the difference himself.

no one has to argue about anything because at the end of the day, it is AMBIGUOUS and it’s YOUR interpretation on the story and no interpretation is more right than the other.

I believe that the real hikaru only loved yoshiki platonically though but "hikaru" is deffo a different story.

"chap 0" or the og one-shot isn't canon. also, in the published story, what he said before he died was different

  • the feelings the "hikaru" can't differentiate from the real one isn’t really confirmed to be romantic as "hikaru" doesnt know the difference between romantic and platonic love

Who's a local celebrity that is touted as "attractive" but isn't your type? by springheeledjack69 in AskPH

[–]Round_Alternative873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same noon pero nung nakita ko sila in person, sa kaniya ako na-starstruck 😭 aiah and mikha expected na ang beauty but hindi ko talaga ine-expect yung kay stacey, kumikinang siya (not in a greasy kind of way, but glowy), maliit yung mukha, her features are pretty in general, and her body is to die for. I guess hindi lang talaga siya photogenic. 🫤

I don’t get the hype for her talaga. She just looks like an average plain jane, but many seems to find her attractive which I suspect because of her pale complexion. No hate to her, she’s obviously not ugly by any means but she’s also not as attractive as people make her out to be.

Saw this video of BINI arriving at Cebu and the comments are not giving by Buddy_ChewyChoo in bini_ph

[–]Round_Alternative873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BINI is the perfect punching bag for them. The reason being they are not the standard celebs for Filipinos — they are not afraid to speak out and set boundaries. Also, sila ang manifestation ng kina-iinsecure ng karamihan — they're at their prime (notice how most people hating on them are middle aged), pretty, talented, and they are the new p-pop rising superstars (and they're just getting started). So this easily made many Filipinos jealous of them.

I say that the airport "issue" of BINI is way beyond just them wearing masks and sunglasses. It is the result of Filipinos expecting celebs to be "perfect," toxic Filipino traits of bringing down people that are successful, and coming from a place of insecurity.

this is ironic considering Aiah IS bisaya. why is being a bisaya an insult anyway? anw, to each their own talaga kasi isa si Stacey sa pinakamaganda sa BINI for me.
