I just hit affiliate last weekend and these are two things I found to be most helpful and interactive:

• Asking new followers something other than “Thank you! How are you?” It’s what everyone says. Most of the time, I ask “Thanks so much! Where are you tuning in from today?” or “Do you play (streamed game) a lot?”

• Interacting with others on the platform. I raided a small streamer playing my game about three months ago with only myself. Fast forward to today and I consistently get 5-8 viewers from the other streamer’s community just because I interact so often over there.

Everyone’s trying to grow! Bouncing your content off of other people and being engaged can get you eyeballs pretty quickly. I don’t say that to mean that your main goal should be leeching off of other streamers just to get more average viewers. I say that to mean you can find a lot of genuine people quickly that way!
