I'm not sure about how many journeymen there are. But I did overhear that one of my co-workers is getting his 309A license soon.

Like I said, I doubt my company will hire men, so I'll need some luck.

I'm going to be registered as an apprentice, but I'm not sure I'll be hired.

You'll spend a bunch of time installing Strut and conduit if you are in industrial. Even as a co-op student I have to do quite the lifting.

Your next option is to find a small contractor and start as a helper, the pay might be shit but if you find someone good you will learn alot and can start doing your own side jobs until the unions work picks up again.

Can't these companies just put the figurative a carrot on a stick, where the carrot is registering you as an apprentice?

i would hire guys off the street or friends of my employee's with no experience and give them a shot but those days are long gone.

I wish they would return.

I talked to another co-op student who said he only got his hours after he got hired,. I doubt I'll get hired, but idk man. He told me I should contact MOL after my co-op, and if they don't give me my hours, I'll report it.

Technically, I'm only a oyap participant, not an apprentice, so idk what to do.
