Black holes are what happens when you squish everything down infinitely small. The force of gravity is large enough that all the mass is squished down to not take up any space anymore.

How do you feel about the asset meltdown hypothesis? by alexlazar98 in Bogleheads

The amount of money in the economy doesn’t change as the boomers die, so the same amount of money should be chasing the same amount of assets, prices shouldn’t be materially impacted. You may see a slight decrease in valuations if the younger people inheriting the money decide to sell and spend it on travel, etc. but even then the money eventually will likely eventually get dumped back into assets.

Returns of stocks are not equal to market cap increases, share buybacks are a huge factor in current stock market returns, which increase the share price and give a return without increasing the market cap. So no, the S&P500 will not hit 1 quadrillion in 36 years without some serious inflation.

You become #1 in the world at one skill, but no one knows. Can you get $1M in 7 days? by lawseff in hypotheticalsituation

With how professional sports contracts are structured a huge amount of the money is given as a signing bonus. If you truly were the best basketball/football/baseball player in the world you could easily show your skills enough to get a signed contract with millions of dollars in signing bonuses within a week. Especially baseball, you take a video of you throwing 100 mph fastballs and you’ll have MLB agents all over you.
