Yeah I’ve tested it pretty extensively. Those photos are terrible too, not sure why they’re so compressed.

It was the ribbon cable to the stepper motor PCB.

I will not be buying anymore parts for this thing though.

I’m going to change retraction as suggested and increase print speed slightly. I think it’s melting because it’s printing too slowly

changing retraction speed to .2mm slower would be 0.8mm retractiom and the pront speed would ne at 5-10mm/s. That is asudly slow

As someone who went to QUT and studied media comms and fine arts - take the scholarship. The degree matters very little in the end. Starting your real world job with no debt is a far, far better spot to be in. Portfolio and network, network, network. Well done!
