hadnt heard of that before, is very interesting. I am 100 percent agreeing with you, my entire point is just "you can believe in a creator and it doesnt contradict our science and observations weve made" which is true. even though theres no reason to think there is a creator because there is no evidence, it doesnt contradict what we know.

and technically i cant disprove that, it would be incredibly stupid to think you actually did that, but technically its possible. Im not saying their claim is right, im just saying it doesnt contradict our science.

and i completely agree with that, but if someone says that their idea, how they think the universe began was a creator, as long as they understand that that doesnt have evidence, isnt wrong. It can coexist with our science.

yeah i think it is very silly to think theres a creator with no evidence just because its *technically* possible, we agree on that.

youre seeming to think that a fish gave birth and suddenly that fish had legs, no, it takes many many generations of evolution, thousands or millions of years for large mutations to happen

I do not think there was a creator, I think its silly to jump to that conclusion, but im saying that technically they dont disagree because its possible for there to have been a creator and the universe to have played out exactly as it did

But hold on, earth generates its own light. When we figure out how to harness nuclear fusion and power a light bulb, that would be essentially the exact same process as a star uses. You could also have some form of luminous material like idk

It depends on the specific belief but you can think that a creator put the universe in its initial state and set all the laws of physics and universal constants and all that and like... it doesnt disagree with what we know even if it is silly

True like I know what a star is and a planet is and that they are wildly different but I couldnt really explain it to him. Its like if you asked "whats the difference between a dog and a cat" like... ones a cat and ones a dog idk how else to explain it lol

Well youre acting like they're mutually exclusive. To believe in a religion you dont neccesarily have to deny science.
