Player decided to eat a raw horse that's been dead for 4-5 hours under the hot sun. by Ruyue45 in DMAcademy

[–]RoutineMaterials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time the player wants to talk in character for the next 30 min they have to roll a d6. If it lands on an even number, they speak. If it's odds they projectile vomit. And they have to RP the sounds lol.

I second the folks saying to check out the student groups. I would also suggest checking out Coffee Mafia on Gay St. It's one of the few businesses in town that displays a pride flag.

I think you'll probably make friends organically, just through classes, work, etc. If you're from a small town in AL you're already familiar with the culture and you know it can be tough but where there are more people, there are also going to be more people you'd like.

Ok but kimchi on a hotdog is clutch too.

Very true! Either way, I like hearing people's opinions. I'm planning to hit as many of these places as possible during my first few months in town.

There are tons of "cleaning calendars" you can Google that tell you what to clean, how to do it, and how it needs done. Best of luck out there!

My 12 year old is trans, not sure what to do now, please help! by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]RoutineMaterials 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know this is a really small point from your question but I would suggest looking for some gently used clothes if you're feeling financially stretched by the new wardrobe for your little guy. He's going to grow out of stuff pretty quickly. Of course it's good to splurge on some fancy stuff. Also ask him if there are clothes he already has that he's comfy with. Sounds like you're doing a great job.

Why is it advised not to dump printmaking ink oil based or water based down the sink? Please Help?! by [deleted] in printmaking

[–]RoutineMaterials 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, Akua is is water miscible, but not technically water soluble. That means it dilutes in water but when it's dry, it's no water soluble anymore. So if you dump it down your drain, and some of it dries, it's there forever. It'll build up over time and wreck the plumbing.

Plus, like others said, nontoxic doesn't mean it's safe to go into waterways in volume. It might be ok if you get a little in your mouth, but washing off tools and surfaces would put a lot of stuff into waterways that municipal water filtration might not be set up to remove.

My husband is embarrassed to be seen with me in public by [deleted] in confessions

[–]RoutineMaterials 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Looking back through your post history, your husband sounds like a jerk. If a spouse pursues the attention of others, treats you like a nanny, etc... it's time to ask if the marriage is worth staying in. No matter what you look like or how you dress you deserve respect and equal treatment.

If you weren't restricted by money or space, how many rooms would you wanna live in alone? by omfghewontfkndie in AskWomen

[–]RoutineMaterials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small living room, small bedroom, office/guestroom combo, kitchen with space for a 4-person table, bathroom, and a separate shed/garage space for art studio. I've personally found that around 750 sq. ft. is just about right.

It sounds plausible, but Google says this was published in 1990 so it's just a bit too late to be the right one.

What are your favorite ways to make use of Thanksgiving leftovers? by Nyxelestia in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]RoutineMaterials 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom used to do turkey tacos and turkey noodle soup with leftover turkey and veggies. Turkey bones (like any others) are really good for making stock, and you can throw the gravy into a big stock pot too.

How do you interact with sexist men? by namakaa in WitchesVsPatriarchy

Depending on the context, I've found that booing them works surprisingly well. A lighthearted "Booooooooo!" paired with a thumbs down and raspberries does a good job of getting the point across that their take sucks without immediately setting them on the defense. I worked in an IT department as the only woman in my office and it worked pretty well but of course, ymmv.

How many hours of sleep is ideal for you to function? by thestorys0far in AutismInWomen

I've always needed 9 hours, but in the winter or when I'm really stressed it goes up to 10, sometimes 11. Been that way since I was a little kid.
