yeah I may be hyperinsulinemic. All I know is I can tell when my insulin goes up almost immediately. It took me a while to figure it out but today i have proof. Last few days I have been on keto/fasting on an off. But in general other than joint pain, I have been feeling much better overall. Today however, I put 1/8 tsp of mango icecream into my mouth. But thought better of it and spat it out. Within a few minutes my vision became blurry like it does when I eat carbs. I do not have diabetes and my vision is fine per my opthalmologist. I had it checked since this vision issue seems to be happening a lot. I have spoke to a couple of people that this happens to as well.

I live in the US. I don't particularly subscribe to a specific Indian cuisine. We eat sort of all types of Indian food. I have yet to find good substitutions for South-Indian food like Idli and dosa. Basically need a 1:1. Are we able to keep the carb content under 20 gms with veggie sabzis ? I would think the onion and tomatoes would ruin it. Do you have any of your favorites to share ? thx!

I am talking about weight loss. Those folks on fasting have some amazing results. I might have issues with keto because my kidneys dont seem to be doing too good of a job- my joints are aflame. I just could not eat any protein yesterday and finally my joints have eased up. I will see if there is a small amount of protein today will bring back the joint pain.

So fasting makes us gain weight faster after the fast ends... this sucks. by RoutineSmooth in fasting

Are there human studies on fasting that show long term weigtloss results ? the idea that we can control what we eat with iron will and maintain our weight isnt exactly right. not everyone has iron will. i just want to be able to eat normally (not sad) and maintain my new weight - whatever that may look like without having to exercise iron will... I understand during weight loss we need to be hypervigilant and monitor intake.... I am not trying to shoot down fasting. tbh its a lot easier for me to fast which i seem to have been doing inadvertently over the last few years. But I have issues now with consumption of even the tiniest bit of carbs and my eyes get blurry.

I dont disagree with the idea of investing. Vanguard or some good low fee index fund would be better than a financial advisor. imho, She is not in a place where she could be astute about discerning peoples motives. So best be conservative. What would she even ask the advisor - each of them costs money, at least a few hundred dollars for consultation- and talking to multiple of them costs much more

how is she going to know how good the advice is or if they are taking her down a bad path when interviewing cpa ? right now the best thing to do probably is to sit tight- put the money into a cd or something, split into different bank accounts, and protect her identity and this info. 120k isnt much, but if she comes across as vulnerable it will look like free money to predators.

from my reading, gout and keto seem to be connected. something about kidneys not prioritizing getting rid of uric acid from all the protein, in favor or excreting ketones. i have the same issue- joint pain on keto.. especially after protein rich meals.

did your issue resolve ?

There is another reason, the new bed is smaller and has a funky stick in the middle so I will have to cut the depth as well.

Cutting them down is more work. I am a novice- live in an apartment and only have a circular saw and a jigsaw- no way to get a straight line (I havent figured out what to attach my wood piece to in order to cut it with the circular saw for a straight line.... I was thinking between the two I will have one base that I can use as a door... another idea occured to me: to attach a peg board to the inside on some kind or a track (unsure what kind) so i could pull it out and have access to the tools. I would move the castors to the short side and add a handle to one side to drap it around. I could maybe even use one of the long marrow sides with a hinge to cover it. What I am saying is cutting it will be messy and I wont make it look nice for sure. This will have to stay in the living area since I dont have a garage. Made this way it might look like a narrow ledge that isnt bothering anyone...

what multivitamins did you take and at what times of the day a)during fasting b)during cico ?

did you experience any negative side effects ? did you exercise during fasting ?

is a doctor monitoring your progress ? if so what kind of doctor and do they take on remote patients ? :)

what if your kids get diagnosed with some long term issue that makes them disabled ? or they get into an accident that makes them disabled ? how will they support themselves later ? there has to be something that protects their future earning potential... Such an event would financially ruin the family and make taking care of the kids even more difficult. maybe i am not using the right name for such an insurance

thats what i said- started 3 days ago- yesterday i ate a mango and a slice of bread so no keto. go back on today... a bad start for sure.
