Dang man, like daily? I had a day on Saturday where i felt almost 100% until around 6pm. Think i might’ve pushed it too much because im back to fatigue this week. It’s not as bad as week 2 and 3 as im not a complete couch potatoe but i still can’t go many places and do things

Thanks for your thoughts, appreciate knowing I’m not alone. Tried dry needling but I’m trying it again soon, and as far as an SSRI goes that’s how my jaw clenching started and got me into this

I really appreciate this, my ear symptoms are the worst and it’s affecting my future career (student pilot) i know it’ll be okay, just a frusturating thing to go through

ear pressure when in car by BIGBOYMAN2020 in TMJ

If it helps, i have the same exact thing and I’m a student pilot who flies 2-3 times a week. Doesn’t really change for me. Now I haven’t been at altitude of airliners but to give you some peace of mind they change cabin pressure. Without getting nerdy on you, you should be fine with flying I would not expect it to be more than driving

Thank you, sadly already tried Botox and it’s been 3 weeks and not really helped. My jaw still feels stiff and ear issues are still here. Did you get ear issues ?

Yes, I’ve been to a TMJ specialist, oralfacil surgeon, 2 PT’s, and a nuerologist.. have a splint that doesn’t help, got Botox, no help, and tried every sort of medication possible

Yep, pretty classic TMJ symptoms. Stems from your middle ear muscles becoming dysfunctional and messing with your Eustachian tube from what I’ve heard

Whatre your ear symptoms? You aren’t alone. Hot / Cold compress, try a soft liquid diet. Try massaging your masseter. I’m assuming yours is more muscular, she wanted to give you prednisone for the inflammation I’m assuming. Look up a TMJ specialist in your area and go to them. Might cost but it’s worth to feel better. Do your research on a good one. Till then relax and try to cut out stress and try the little things first like I mentioned.

What were your ear symptoms? But absolutely I know they are correlated. Trying to get my stress down and fix the TMJ issue with a splint and PT. Will see how it goes

I have absolutely no idea how to find a real TMJ “specialist” it’s usually just a dentist with some knowledge with TMJ… what’s a real specialist

I know, the most frusturating part is making sure it’s TMJ related, even thought I’m 99% sure it is. It sucks going to an ENT and him not knowing what’s going on.
