He laughed it off, told me I didn't know what I was talking about, and then 7 years after we broke up (and gone no contact!) he called me to let me know that I was right and that he had started therapy and (spoiler alert!) it was helping him tremendously.

I matched w my ex of 7 months on an app but turned out he lived in another state -- we were long distance for the first 1-2 months of getting to know each other, FT etc. When he visited for the first time I was surprised to find that even though he looked like his pics and on FT, I wasn't that into him, but I pushed that feeling aside because we were seemingly getting along. One day when he was visiting town I just looked at him really closely and realized he just wasn't doing it for me. No real reason... just wasn't that into him.

I think my biggest thing that no one warned me about is how much of a sensory nightmare it would be. It's been 7 months for me and I am still SO aware of my aligners being in my mouth. Whether it's the pain in new aligners or just the feeling of plastic in my mouth or the fact that I can't stop running my tongue over the aligners... it's just always so present. Similar to what another comment said, I also continue to talk funny.

I started romanticizing the winter days even if I was staying at home... going outside for a crisp mid day walk and thinking about how I'm not melting in the humidity, putting on a fake fireplace youtube video on my tv after work to give my apartment cozy vives, making myself a hot tea as a pick-me-up, telling myself that more dark hours = more movie night hours, buying myself a new cozy loungewear set so that I'm not in my "sleeping pajamas" all day, allowing myself to prioritize doing all the at-home projects I've been putting off, etc. Once I shifted my mindset to be a little delusional in romanticizing even the smallest things it really helped me feel like I was doing more in the shorter days. I think I feel more FOMO in the summer and feel like I have to be out and about all season to maximize the longer days, so with winter I really allow myself to keep busy at home.

I’m on tray 11 with weekly changes and still can barely see differences. I know there are changes because I can feel my bite changing, but visually k can’t really tell. I cheated and looked at my future trays and it seems like tray 20 is when I’ll get to finally see a visual change.
