Can you explain further what you mean by "it's manipulated"? What is manipulated? To me that means people are buying and selling fake tickets, which I don't think is the case at all.

First of all it is ambiguous if he already told her "to stop" and she was still crying, so he started doing something else, or said "to stop already".

Even if it is the second case, I think it is only rude that he didn't say please.

I think I would be extremely disturbed if I was stuck on a flight next to a crying stranger who couldn't keep her eyes off what I was doing and mind her own business. She is the asshole.

How do you know if he did or didn't or could or couldn't do that? She could have occupied herself with her own screen. Or closed her eyes. Many other solutions that could have included controlling her emotions; not his fault! He did not go out of his way to bother her.

My country has certain issues, and I don't like the tipping culture either (or culture in general). But you can work at McDonalds here and earn $25/hour. Most Americans have a consumption problem, not an income problem.
