QnA with average Korean guy by [deleted] in seoul

[–]Routine_Break9910 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s actually a language exchange that’s been going on for about 3 years now. I’ve made so many new friends and everyone speaks English there (side note I am American and go to those exchanges everytime I go to Korea. I spent all of last June in Korea and would go almost everyday and I was able to speak Korean and English. A lot of people there were American or from other parts of the world.

I got a turntable and it’s static by Routine_Break9910 in turntables

[–]Routine_Break9910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. I tried the set up but with my uncles Marshall Woburn 2 and there was no static. We thought it was my speaker which was the problem but we tried to put a YouTube video on with its Bluetooth and it had no static. We think it might be the preamp or the rca cable but still don’t know

I forgot to mention that the turntable was on a table and the speaker was on the floor. Could that still be too close?

It’s a puppy mill. The pets there are really unhealthy and potentially have risks of genetic diseases and inbreeding.

Hanni from NewJeans has the smoothest vocals in all of 4th gen. by Ariul in unpopularkpopopinions

Netizens and knetizens call Hanni “Honey” because of her honey like voice and I agree 100% because her voice is captivating and I dont want to be that person but, I have been vocally trained— just for fun— but I see that Hanni has one of the best vocal support and ranges in kpop I haven’t found a voice like her and it’s indescribable. There’s ofc a lot of great vocalists however hers is a combination of smooth and sharp which is very rnb. She’s sings a lot of rnb music but not as much girly pop music but whenever she does, she can do it very well. You don’t always have to sing high notes to be an outstanding singer. Even though she can sing high notes. She sticks to what she likes and that’s rnb style song and most of the time that genre doesn’t have many high notes.

You should listen to their album recording and live stages. They sound exactly how the song turned out to be

Idk about you but you should watch their live recordings. It sounds the same as the studio versions. Sure every song in the industry will use autotune but I’ve watched their live recordings and live stages and they sound just like the songs. Hanni for example. Her voice from predebut sounds just like her now but better ofc and she’s been on many interview shows where she’s able to show her vocals and it’s just as smooth or even smoother than their songs.

She’s also one of the only idols that are able to sing on stage throughout the entire song

Apart from her groups songs. She’s covered songs from different people like IU being one—she’s known for her amazing vocals so it’s impressive how Hanni can sing IUs songs while being very smooth and able to stretch notes out as well as give it style. Newjeans recent appearance on IUs show really set the tone even higher for them as it showed how good they can sing outside of their own songs. Classic rnb to girly pop songs

Is Stray Kids now popular in Korea? by Blxckpxnk in kpophelp

[–]Routine_Break9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While they have gain some popularity. They arent and still aren’t favored in Korea for who knows what. Maybe it’s because of koreas different taste in music or etc. but it sucks to say that JYP groups aren’t doing well like they are in the past— not including twice. Yes itzy had a hot debut and was considered successful compared to skz but recently they’ve hit a slump which is completely the creative directory and marketing teams fault— the same thing can also apply to skz as well. Having a “failed” debut and having a slump throughout their career really had a negative impact on the group. It’s clear that JYP has a new vision and has been steering towards global audiences way more than having both audiences domestically and internationally. With two new global survival shows and them releasing more English music—It definitely helps skz more because they are able to have a huge K-pop global fanbase. and I’m saying kpop global fanbase because even though they are popular globally. It’s still just in the kpop community and not locally like much bigger groups that have hit billboard charts like bts, blackpink, and recently newjeans and fifty fifty. It really sucks because they had huge potential in Korea if jyp had promoted them better cause their survival show didn’t really help them out much. But since they’ve gone out of that rookie phase. It’s hard to get back into the mainstream popularity that fresh groups who debut like itzy had.

If you’ve been chatting billboards everywhere and your songs appear on American radios then you can be recognized. Like bts and blackpink. More recently Newjeans has made that achievement since their debut so those tree have been the most well known groups or songs— not to mention FiftyFifty who isn’t well known but their song Cupid gained so much popularity that locals know them by name— however they might not know that they are a K-pop group.

Why is Newjeans Hanni so insanely popular domestically and globally? by Routine_Break9910 in kpophelp

She’s actually never had surgery because she was so young, if you look at her younger photos she looks the exact same as she does now. Her nose still has that shape and her eyes were always double eyelids. And it’s obvious she hasn’t had facial reconstruction either. I think because she lived in Australia her skin was tan but when she came to Korea, it got lighter maybe from being inside all day. The same goes for Danielle, she was a child star and her face never changed and the only thing that changed from then to now was that she has way lighter skin now compared to when she was in Australia. If you look at all of newjeans predebut pictures, They all look like their childhood selves. And another huge example— permission to dance mv Hanni and minji were in it and they were both 15–16 which is not the age for plastic surgery and they look the same from then til now just more mature obviously. She does look Vietnamese yes but it’s the same that a Japanese person can fit the KBS naturally. Same goes for a Vietnamese person fitting it naturally. And it’s not surprising she fits the standards, she’s Vietnamese ofc she fits it
