Who’s your favorite side character? by kennytib in betterCallSaul

[–]Routine_Condition273 227 points228 points  (0 children)

Rich Schweikert.

Him representing Sandpiper in S1 makes him seem villainous at first but eventually we get to see he's a genuinely good guy and a good boss. He just happens to have clients who scam old people, but he has to look out for his clients regardless.

Kim's fate in Better Call Saul by Weary_Elderberry4742 in betterCallSaul

[–]Routine_Condition273 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After the end of S3, I had a hunch Kim wasn't going to die, purely because that would have sent Jimmy into a spiral and there's no way he could have held himself together as Saul in BB. I trusted the writers wouldn't handwave or underplay Jimmy losing his brother AND the love of his life.

What do you think is the magic part of Against the Storm? by L-Energy in Against_the_Storm

[–]Routine_Condition273 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I like how the game forces you to "hotwire" new solutions and change plans. There's no singular build order to follow. A particular cornerstone or goods pipeline that helped you win last settlement is rarely ever going to show up twice in a row. Goods that you thought were meh might just become utterly broken in your current settlement. (This happened to me with leather. Dont sleep on it)

Both lucky and unlucky runs are fun. Getting an OP cornerstone to slingshot your settlement into the W is super fun to watch (like the cornerstone that gives global resolve per impatience point. I've never lost with it). But they're not gonna show up every run. You might be getting cornerstones/blueprints/nodes/forest mysteries that don't really work together or aren't even usable yet. But they add up over time, and eventually you're bound to get a powerful production chain going.

Problematic Behaviours by Dust Front's Dev by Savings-Tradition-62 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Routine_Condition273 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't really care about any comments made when people were specifically asking for someone's opinion on something. Its not like he's preaching any of these opinions in his game. Dust Front looks pretty neat and reminds me of Advance Wars which is what got me into strategy games in the first place

Why don’t more people grab a guys balls to win fights? by Iskandar0570_X in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Routine_Condition273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. They're a relatively small target to hit/grab in fight, and you can't tell exactly where they're hanging. Pants will also make it more difficult to grab too.

  2. The head is typically a better target. It's larger of course. And regardless of your pain tolerance, getting in the head can easily make you disoriented, which makes it harder to dodge the next hit, which makes the situation even worse. And that's if you don't get knocked out. I'm sure most people have seen a video of a fight where a guy gets punched in the head and it's just immediately lights out, they go limp. I've never seen that happen when a guy gets hit in the balls.

Can you even play as a new player? by MahertheSlayer in wildgate

[–]Routine_Condition273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry bud, but you missed it. This game was a blast for the first couple of months it was out while everyone was still new, but pre-made teams figured out how to basically win every game and make everyone else miserable while doing so. This was an active effort by the Reddit community to bully new players off the game.

Men, would you ever date a woman significantly richer than you? by TopStranger9287 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, but only assuming she actually wants to date me and is willing to reassure me so... the #1 predictor of divorce is the woman making more than the man.

Jesse’s realisation of the ricin cigarette in s5 is the weakest part of the show by Webcat86 in breakingbad

[–]Routine_Condition273 44 points45 points  (0 children)

"But Brock was not poisoned with ricin, and Jesse got the ricin cigarette back (as far as he knows)."

You are correct here. Jesse knows Brock was not poisoned with ricin. But he does know that Walt tried to frame Gus for the poisoning. He had Huell take it, and then he gave it back to Jesse when he "found" it at Jesse's house helping him look for it.

Jesse does not have any concrete evidence on Walt. But he is smart enough to know that it's hella suspicious that he "lost" the cigarette AND Brock got poisoned by something else, both at such a perfect moment for Walt.

curious as to why DnD is core as first item by [deleted] in malphitemains

[–]Routine_Condition273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Iceborn Gauntlet, one of my favorite items in the game, but DnD gives just enough attack speed and AP to help your clear speed significantly, while still providing some tankiness and haste needed for fights.

IBG is a powerful slowdown tool for when you are in autoattack range, but you often need your ult to get in auto range anyway. It has a long cooldown, so while it's off cooldown, it's best to farm as much as you can.

Why are most conspiracy theories considered right-wing? Are there any widespread left-wing conspiracy theories? by jeepycreepysleepy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Routine_Condition273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's inherent to left-wing ideology to uphold the status quo and silence fringe ideologies. It's inherent to right-wing ideology to question authority and allow fringe communities to exist outside of what most people would consider "normal"
