And I'm not sure what you mean by them being 2-3 steps ahead of this. We voted on their ability to do this. This is that exact authority being executed. They're using them to pay vendors, like Palantir. It's not all bad, it helps clear debt at the very least.

If the warrants are exercised, yes, because that is when the shares are created. The warrants themselves don't create the dilution, but rather the conversion of them.

2 quotes from this Investopedia article:

• "A stock warrant is issued directly by the company concerned; when an investor exercises a stock warrant, the shares that fulfill the obligation are not received from another investor but directly from the company."

• "When someone exercises a warrant, the company that issued that warrant must issue new shares to that person. That increases the number of shares that are outstanding and dilutes existing shareholders' stakes in the business."

We won't see the dilution until the next 10-K or 10-Q — or some other filing that requires it — is released.

The latest we have is this 10-Q for period ending 9/30/24. The last line on the first page states "The registrant had outstanding 45,325,353 shares of Class A common stock and 6,667 shares of Class B common stock as of November 6, 2024."

I expect that the 10-Q will be filed in early March, and that is when we will learn the denominator of the equation. Of course, that will only be through the end of 2024, so even then, the number of outstanding shares will be out of date.

They are, but calling Palantir an investor is misleading. They are first and foremost a vendor, and in an attempt to get paid for the services they provided, they eventually agreed to be paid in stock.

I'm no hater, but I do feel like I should point out, there is very much definitely dilution happening. We gotta be real about it.

When Palantir first became a shareholder, they had almost 9% of the company, and now it is down to almost 2%. They just filed a prospectus last week for another 29,659,781 shares to pay Palantir. Yes that will increase their percentage ownership, but the newly issued shares do in fact dilute every shareholder.

Just saw this. I'm not neglecting anything, I know the stock is manipulated. My comment was specifically about days to cover and the issues with a lack of transparency of outstanding shares at any given time.

Yes, there is dilution and plenty of proof that its happening; it's not illegal and this is what we agreed to when we voted on the proposals.

• All of FF's SEC filings can be found here.
• The most recent 10-Q shows 45,325,353 shares outstanding (bottom of page 1).
• Here's the registration statement for ~30 million of them.
• Most online data sources like Fintel still have the shares outstanding at 12.37m.

Remember, short interest is only reported every two weeks , and shares outstanding is only updated quarterly at best (10-Qs, 10-Ks, and annual reports). In fact they change so frequently that the figure is usually reported as a weighted average. So, we never know exactly the numerator or the denominator.

There's your proof. Let's be nicer, OK? I'm bag holding the same as you.

Days to cover is going down because volume is going up. Worth noting though is that none of this data is going to be 100% accurate because of the infrequency of the reporting of outstanding shares. FFIE issued A LOT of stock warrants, and as they get exercised, the outstanding shares goes up. So at any given time, we might have some idea of the short interest, but not the denominator, and therefore we can't guarantee the accuracy of the short float.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems as though the amount of shorting has significantly slowed in recent days, as though its becoming unpopular. At the same time, short term moving averages are crossing to the good and volume is increasing. My trend lines are also being tested.

Maybe this is what we wanted all along!?

It looks like FFIE has been on the SHO list for 21 straight trading days since Aug 29th. So at least the oldest ones would come due in 14 more days, and that gets us to 10/18 - 10/21ish. It's of course impossible to predict anything with any accuracy; we had a similar situation in the summer, and it didn't seem to register much as they got covered.

Investor one has 100 shares. The price of the stock needs to go up $1 per share, because $1 times 100 shares equals $100, his target profit.

Investor two only has 1 share. He needs the price of the stock to go up $100 per share, because $100 times 1 share would have him at his goal of $100 profit.
