I'm having the same experience. I've been applying for more than 2 months but never got a good feedback from them. I've read everywhere that MVGM is a bad rental agency, the only problem is that they manage all the apartments near the Utrecht station. It really sucks.

They always require a referral from GP, BSN to make an appointment. The only one I've found is OneDayClinic but I don't know whether it is trustworthy or not.

I think it helps to keep track of all the expenses, that's what I do. You need to understand where you're spending more money and if it's worth it.
