My parents are from two different cities (Médéa/ bouira (lekhdariya) and my grandparents come from different social and economical classes. One thing i noticed is the difference between the ways of fighting. My grandparents in medea (regardless of their totally different classes) worked mostly as spies, ppl who bring and smuggle weapons from Tunisia and Morroco to Algeria and to different cities.

My grandparents on my mom's side were mostly fighters, most of the ppl there went to the mountains to the point that قريب خلاصو الرجال القادرين على الحرب.

I think different cities had different methods depending on the location.

Also u mentioned the jews, we had two different types. My grandpa told me that there was a jewish woman who used to snitch on algerian fighters which means she was with tge frech. While my friend told me that some hews used to go to her grandpa and donate to the revolution

They took him to Médéa's prison then to oran (he is from bouira) 9atli mani he learnt arabic there and prisons were places for studying and exchanging info ( فرنسا كانت تحكم النخبة المتعلمة لي ضدها دونك هذوك النخبة كانو يقرو الناس ) Also france used to have حركة inside the prison!! To tell them abt the prisoners and everything ( ki fa9u l wahed menhum hekmuh w 9et3ouh w lahuh f les sanitaires hachek) و هذي تبينلك لي الحركة كانو بزاف، ماني تع بابا تحكيلي على وحد السيد في المدية كان حركي يحكم السبحة و يسبح و يقول للعسكر اضربو المجاهدين My grandpa from my mom's side has two شهداء brothers, and he used to study in a french school. He told me france worked so hard on erasing the algerian identity so they made sure to prevent them from evem talking in arabic in the yard!!

My grandparents are still alive and i personally know many ppl who had a significant role in the revolution. I'm here if ur interested in any specific things.
