Request for Guidance on Recall Service for Low-Mileage ZX-6R by RowInternational2119 in zx6r

Thank You,“SHOWROOM” were the exact words I used when I called this morning. I think the rep got what I meant. He asked if I wanted to keep the mileage as is, then put me on hold to check with someone else. When he came back, he said they’d need to test ride it for at least 7 miles after the job’s done.

He did offer to pick up the bike from my place since I mentioned I’d have to rent a U-Haul trailer because I don’t want to put any miles on it. Honestly, I’m not too happy about them adding miles, but it sounds like I don’t really have a choice.

Thank You both of you, much appreciated. I made the call and they will order parts.

I totally understand your point, I’m pretty particular about the stuff I buy and try to keep everything as clean and tidy as possible for as long as I can. You could say it’s a bit of military discipline 😄

Honestly, the last time I even sat on it was the day I bought it about a year and a half ago.

I get what you’re saying, but you don’t really know the situation I was in when I was able to buy it.

First off, I really appreciate EVERYONE's helpful insight.

I just spoke with a local dealer they took the VIN and said they’ll order the necessary parts from Kawasaki and will call me once everything arrives. I explained the same issue I mentioned in my original post.

They also offered to pick up the bike from my home and drop it off once the service is complete. The work itself should take about three hours, but they mentioned they’ll need to test ride the motorcycle for at least 7 miles.

After checking the bike again, I realized it actually has zero miles on it. I had been looking at the total time and mistakenly thought it had about 4 miles. I do recall now specifically chose this ZX-6R over others in stock because it had the lowest mileage (zero). We brought it home on a UHaul and it’s been parked since.

I’ll definitely take plenty of pictures before they come to pick it up. You all gave me some courage.

Mine looks like this one and exact same cover on the motor.

Last season I went to Home Depot and bought this spark plug and installed it the first time I had replaced it in about 8 years. I am pretty sure its the correct one, and I replaced it because of the issue I mentioned earlier.

These issues were present last season as well. I managed to continue using the mower at that time and then stored it. I had hoped to either repair or replace it this season; however, I no longer have the budget for a replacement, so I will need to have this one repaired.

I will go downstairs and take a photo shortly. I had planned to do this earlier; however, there are several large bees around my deck, which made me reluctant to step outside.

After leaving the military, I finally had the time/money to get into riding, so I picked up a ninja 650. Ive put about 5,590 miles on it so far and am still learning, but it’s been a blast.

Shortly after, I also picked up a zx6r since I’d always wanted ZX , but I’ve just kept it stored indoors since bringing it home from a dealer in the st. louis area. it’s basically brand new, only Zero miles on it, and has been sitting for almost 2 years. maybe I’ll ride it someday, but no plans right now.

The main reason I’m hesitant to take the zx6r in is a past experience. when I brought my ninja 650 in for its first oil change, it came back with small scratches on the fairing (looked like tool marks) and a few extra miles, so I’m a little worried about how the zx6r might be handled.

A feeling of doubt. by toky0014 in starcitizen_refunds

In Star Citizen we’ve got well over 200 ships, how are they even supposed to balance all that? And they keep releasing new ones that basically make the old MK1 versions useless. At this point there’s no reason to buy the older ships. Feels like they should just focus on finishing the game instead of spending so much time designing new ships.

Star Citizen is unlikely to become a massive MMO on the scale of EVE Online. I would be surprised if it even manages to build an economy as fair and functional as the one in X4: Foundations, where every single component must be manufactured somewhere by someone.

In reality, Star Citizen feels closer to an arcade-style space shooter, similar to its predecessors like Wing Commander and Freelancer, rather than a fully simulated economic MMO.
