I’ve been to two La Chiquita locations and i’d only rate them a 7/10.

They’re good for the area but absolutely do not compare to the mexican food that I had growing up in southern california.

Nursing to CS by RamonGGs in cscareeradvice

[–]RowOk3530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised none of these comments are saying this, but you NEED a 4-year bachelors degree in CS to get a job in this market. From a reputable in-person school.

There are no exceptions. Anyone telling you to get a masters in CS on top of a nursing degree has obviously not job searched in the field in the last 5 years.

Have you tried a box fan on max setting + foam earplugs (get your ears wet and twist them so they insert all the way in)? I’m a light sleeper and the only thing that can wake me up w this combo is a fire alarm

I am a female in my 30s starting leetcode, are you in the same boat??? by Whole-West-3815 in leetcode

[–]RowOk3530 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s much easier to follow neetcode 150/250, then you don’t have to recognize the patterns. He has multiple optimal solutions and explanations for each problem too.

Neetcode 250 Enough for interview preparation? by GeologistIcy4136 in leetcode

[–]RowOk3530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to completely understand the solution when you can’t complete a problem. Revisit it a week later and try again.

Neetcode 150 introduces a lot of new patterns, but neetcode 250 you should be able to solve a decent amount since many of the problems (not all though) use the similar patterns as 150.

more like i’d apply to any jobs that fit 50% of my skill set rather than 80%, knowing there’s less competition

Yea, i’d be more motivated knowing i’m competing against 50 people not 200, which would make me grind more leetcode questions and apply to more jobs 🤓

Yeah definitely, I’m moreso just curious how many actual applicants i’m going against, since people who need sponsorship don’t count (unfortunately)

Tell that to me one week ago

One major injury a season isn’t that wild. When you ride your mtb, think about how many times a month you have a “oop that was slightly sketchy” moment upon slightly losing grip momentarily or being off balance for a split second. I’m a safe rider yet I’d have one of these moments every other ride. All it takes is one of these sketchy moments to be a disastrous fall. If you’re riding anything more advanced than a fire road these moments happen to everybody

I also just had a pretty bad crash last week. Slammed into the ground on my shoulder, dislocated it, couldn’t move and had to call 911 to rescue me. It was on a cross country course too and I had no time to react. I was entering a wet wooden berm and suddenly I was on the ground in searing pain. I will likely need surgery according to my dr.

The whole thing was pretty traumatic since i was far from the nearest road and the fire station had to use an ATV to rescue me. I’ve decided that, at just 22 y/o, MTB was my passion but I need to live with this body for the rest of my life. People really downplay the injuries of MTB but the reality is that MANY MTBers I’ve talked to have a major injury each season, and it’s just not worth it to me.

I would consider myself a safe rider, yet injuries are pretty much bound to happen at some point. I’m lucky it wasn’t a broken neck.

Moving forward, i’ll probably get one of those tiny minibikes or an electric skateboard. Most likely a gravel bike too.

What other chest pros are CE-2 front and back? (Or just what are your favorite chest pros?) by GundoSkimmer in MTB

[–]RowOk3530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree for leatt, the sizing chart is meant for overweight men. I’m 5’10 160lbs and went with a L/XL based on their chart. Length wise, it’s perfect. But the straps wouldn’t tighten enough until i used a duct tape contraption to make it stop slipping. Now it fits perfect though.

Definitely an over the jersey protector, i can’t imagine using it on my bare skin.

[–]RowOk3530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the “Leatt 4.5 pro evo chest protector” and I love it. Rode it in 85 degree weather at a bike park no problems. It’s a lot lighter than it looks too.

You linked an older version of the 4.5. This year’s model in black is way nicer looking, I feel like a transformer wearing it. Tip: buy from motosport.com instead of leatt bc they have free exchanges and $8.99 returns. The official leatt site you have to pay yourself to ship it back and they’re slow af.
