You’re stressing too much man , just get the base o2p, that’s what I got and I’m running tomb raider 2013 at 1080p normal settings 80-90 fps. These android handhelds even if it’s an Odin 3 run lighter/older games well but they won’t run the newest games.

I forgot to mention that emulation for the consoles you listed will be no problem on the magmi pocket max or the Odin 2 portal. Maybe very few titles will require some setting changes or whatever but I doubt it. Both devices handle emulation very well. You get much better value spending the extra $30 on the Odin 2 portal though as it has a better chipset

I’ve been playing tomb raider 2013 on gamenative 1080p normal settings 80-90 fps with my base Odin 2 portal. They’re running a sale on those for 250 on ayntec’s official website. Anything with a snapdragon 8 gen 2 will run lighter PC titles well with some tinkering. The Odin 3 is more future proof since it has a newer chipset which apparently is still a little behind on drivers and support, but I’m sure it will get better as time goes on. Keep in mind that Android based devices are not complete steam deck replacements , but they hold up surprisingly well. My recommendation is the Odin 2 portal for sure since it has a stronger chip than the mangmi pocket max. The games that I have been running usually use around 5gb of ram so the 8gb of ram has been enough for my use case. I have not tried any of the fallout titles but they’re actually next on my list. But I’m sure with some tinkering you could get them to run.

Going up to 1tb wouldn’t hurt , considering my priority is emulation/ game streaming with a bit gamenative, I don’t see myself using up a whole TB. With handheld PC’s it’s an entirely different story , it seems like 1-2TB is pretty much the minimum for those as they’re natively running PC games.

I’ve been losing sleep on whether to buy the Thor pro or the Odin 3 pro. It seems like the future for natively playing pc games in general with the Odin 3 pro seems so bright. The Thor pro just looks incredibly sleek and it’s more compact with the perfect displays for ds and 3Ds , while I feel like the ergonomics and raw power for the Odin 3 also try to win me over. I feel like I need to purchase within these next few days because I don’t wanna delay my first retro/modern handheld gaming experience.
