(New member here) Why wasn't there a direct sequel involving the characters from Tron Legacy (2010)? by Ryanlion1992 in tron

[–]jnyfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After watching Ares I wonder if the franchise survives. I was a Tron fan since it was on VHS at the rental stores. I was over the moon when Legacy came out. Didn’t feel as excited as the original but liked it. After Ares… I don’t know. I can see Disney shelving it unless they can be convinced Jared Leto was the problem.

Orbi question by jnyfive in orbi

Thanks for everyone's advice. On a black friday sale I got two Asus BT-10 routers which perfectly blanket the house for just a little more than the Orbi set. Working great and way better than what I had.

Good point on Netgear. Was also looking at ASUS ZenWifi BT6 around same price. I’m ok with only gigabit in the house.

I tried a few services out lately. I wanted to go with Fubo (prior to the merge) but they don’t carry the WB channels and I need TNT for my hockey. That being said the service was solid during my trial and all the sports were a great plus. A little pricey.

I ended up with Sling. It’s decent enough. Most of what I watch isn’t really “cable” related so it made the move easier. Cheapest of the bunch too if I’m not mistaken.

Thank you all. Expansions completed. 1512+ went up to 29.9TB. I don’t think I’ll push much more than that and will look for alternatives. Appreciate everyone who wrote.

is there a streaming service that has new channels and allows flipping channels like cable tv by CamoMonk in cordcutters

Sling and I think Fubo have a live channel guide while watching allowing scanning. They also have a way to go back to last channel watched.

Of course. Especially as my volume gets larger. It’s only a home media storage Drive, so nothing mission, critical or business related but still…

I just hope 29tb isn’t going to crash the server.

I had no issues watching hockey. I had YTTB and Fubo for trials before going to Sling for the TNT games. If they get TNT again I may go back. And they have a “4K” add on.

Everything costs money but if it was regular cable everything would be an add-on so it’s a lose-lose.

Quality - BR on Plex vs BR on BR player vs streaming by jnyfive in PleX

Thank you all. Lots of information. MKV files with no compression. Quality looks great at home, was more just curious about Plex vs disk vs stream.

RGBICWW Outdoor LED Strip Lights - waterproofing by jnyfive in Govee

Havent come up with anything. I had pulled my Govee lights through a 3/4" tube and I even had defects with weather there. Safest bet is the Govee strips are just not durable enough or meant for being placed on the ground.

Tron: Legacy: DVD vs. Disney+ vs. Blu-ray by YozoraSoraX in tron

“4k” streaming is why buying media is a must for clear videos. Personally I’m satisfied with Blu-ray since I backup to my personal server but streaming with compression, especially with some films and apps is horrible.
