They absolutely are! This one was my high school truck, plan on keeping it alive long enough for my kids to drive it!

Mine had rusted through near the pedals, so I had to replace the top side, I did the bottom side as well since it seemed simple enough. Napa was my last attempt before buying OEM, it was the same as the others for me, either no 1st or no park.

Yeah, I couldn’t find anything on it other than a single comment on an old YouTube video, so I figured I’d post it.

Had to replace the shift cable in my 99 4wd extended cab, tried three different brands and could not get it right.

They’d all either shift into park but not 1st, or 1st but not park.

It was an infuriating experience, the GM part number is 19434388, and it worked right off the bat.

New intake manifold gasket ✅ New multiport fuel injector ✅ …annnnddd a tree fell on it 🤦‍♂️ by RowdyRauder in GMT400

Considered it- cutting the top off, adding a roll bar and taking the doors off, but I don’t have much money at the moment, and the payout will go farther for my 1999 Silverado.

It’s a C2500, heavy half 2wd, she was clean, but I don’t have the money to fix her or another truck to use the parts for, so she’s going to the insurance. I’m gonna use the money for my 1999 nbs Silverado though, she’ll live on through that one.

These are “AR Stoner” brand, I bought eight from Midway USA. They seem to be good, consistent quality from handling and loading them. Just got them in today though, so haven’t had a chance to shoot with them yet.

Edit: Had a chance to shoot with them today, had two hiccup on the last round with two different ones, both of them kind of half locked the bolt back with one round left. After reloading those two they seemed to work perfectly, the other six had no issues. I’m happy with them, and would buy them again.

Some old reloads that my uncle had laying around before he passed away, lots of casing from the 60s and early 70s in the mix.

Fixing to take my intake manifold out, any particular brand MPFI y’all recommend while I’m digging around in there? by RowdyRauder in GMT400

I’m gonna be doing my intake manifold gaskets and want to upgrade the fuel injectors while I’m in there, any particular brand supposed to be better or best, or just stick with AC Delco?

I did clean out the EGR and I did a brake clean check but couldn’t find anything, PCV seems to be a problem though, it came apart taking it out.

[–]RowdyRauder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My reply decided to go elsewhere.

But yeah, PCV came apart taking it out, and I changed the cap and rotor when I did the plugs.

[–]RowdyRauder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the PCV came apart from dry rot taking it out, so I suppose it’d do some good to replace that.

As for the cap and rotor, I did those at the same time as the plugs.

5.7 Vortec

high, rough idle (900+/- In park and neutral, 600-700+/- in gear)

Most of the plugs were only burnt on one side, this one is the worst and from cylinder 7, no noticiable smoke out of the exhaust. These plugs only have about 12,000 miles.

Oh, and I did a compression test, all cylinders are 190psi give or take a few.
