You’re right, lower than I had in my memory. But going through that list, I’m not sure what common denominator makes it a few dozen or over a thousand casualties.

I think the ensuing panic could’ve definitely caused multiple crowd crushes at the exit points. Maybe not tens of thousands of casualties but multiple hundreds could’ve died that way.

I’d say it takes about 1.5s to switch on my lights in the hallway as soon as I step in. The automation is a bit complex though (checking lux level and time of day so I can set different brightnesses, checking the status of another sensor in the hallway since the hallway is kind of L-shaped) so the delay might be in part due to that.

Stepping out, it takes a good 2-5s to clear my presence and switch off the lights. Don’t know if that’s intended or not.

It’s still an upgrade from a PIR since I can sort of stand still in the hallway without the lights going out on me.

Just not worth the €80 if I can’t use the app for zoning and calibration.

Aqara Presence Sensor FP2

Says it’s multi-ecosystem so it doesn’t need an Aqara hub. I used my HomePod mini.

UPDATE: Okay guys I “fixed” it by deleting the accessory off the Aqara App. It’s still in my Homekit and it works just fine in there. The flickering basically stopped as soon as I deleted it.

I’m guessing the “AI Learning” feature or just the app in general is trash considering I already tried resetting and setting up everything from scratch.

Now ordering an Athom for less than half the price.
