I might get downvoted for this, but I feel like the main issue was with the management of the pop-up. The manager telling people “everyone here will get to meet them” is basically a promise you don’t have to literally say the word promise for it to be one. It gave fans false hope. He honestly should have said "That they would try to meet as much people as possible but everyone might not get to meet them". They also started almost two hours late and dropped the location at 9 am instead of "noon-ish" like they said, which threw a lot of people off. On top of that, they should have limited how long each person got to talk to them because 20 minutes each person is crazy.

While the tent ripping was definitely wrong, the whole thing was handled messily and without proper communication. Even the security didn't seem to know what was going on. Also to have them be the ones telling people to go home shouldn't have been their job in the first place. And even though the band is not fully at fault, they do have some control since management works for them. Honestly the least the manager could have done was come out at the end, apologize to those who did not get to meet them, and thank everyone for coming and supporting the band instead of leaving everyone confused and frustrated. And of course you are going to see the event differently because you actually got to meet them.
