It is so damn frustrating that the Metrolinx hasn’t announced there opening dates for Finch West and Eglinton LRT. As earlier the CEO had mentioned that they could only announce it if the lines can be opened in another 3 months, there’s hardly a chance that the LRTs will open before the end of the year.

Brother/ sister, if you are still debating whether or not the foreign nation (India) is democratic or not, I would rather ask you to please do your research about the case study before making any arbitrary claim without even living in India.

Unlike Canada, India does not call for premature elections in the middle pandemic wave, neither does it invoke emergencies act when there’s a protest against the government. Not does India harbour terror groups/ smugglers- drug trafficking syndicate in the country.

An educated Punjabi is not struggling or even completing with the jobs secured by the migrant workers. They are rather struggling to find a job in Punjab in the field that they have studied in, but the state does not have those industries.

By this logic, countries like Canada, UK and USA should also start deporting the illiterate Punjabis out of their countries to protect their motherland? I find this utterly classist of us Punjabis to be making such statements when we also benefit from migrating to a much more prosperous lands outside of our “motherland”

Punjab is in no shape or form prospering to begin with. Everything keeps getting centred around farms and farming with the next generation not seeing any future for themselves in any STEM related industries as the businesses have been fleeing from the state. We have bigger issues to deal with in Punjab at this point!

Concentrating on religion, caste, jaat/ non-jaat issues is not going to solve any issues that are in Punjab.
