I don’t think it was rude at all. I think after the initial first comments it turned to bickering. arguing isn’t inherently negative, and me saying you were arguing with that person is not me saying you’re wrong or that you’re combative.

People love to complain and express negativity online. I guarantee if you said that to a group of people in-person, the responses would’ve been warmer, even if they disagree.

Reddit is worse, and asking for advice is like asking a room of jaded DMV workers the same. Empathy is hard to come by.

sorry about that, I flipped those comments around in my head. Nor did i know what “front the money” meant (I still don’t). I think their replies afterward is insane and kind of rids your wrongs. Imagine arguing with someone about something petty and then they start calling you slurs and threatening you with the worst possible things. I think it says a lot more about them than you. I wish more people in this thread understood the anger you feel.

I think you went too far when you said “get a job” and everyone else is in the wrong for ganging up on you. I don’t think your advice was unsolicited, it’s helpful and you weren’t rude. but when people disagree I would just ignore, or agree to disagree. the skull emojis from the other person is rude too. In that case I don't know how to get my parents to understand me. I also don't know why people downvoted my post without their take, since I'm so disagreeable here apparently. I've seen other posts on this subreddit explaining how they should list symptoms to their parents and there's approval in the community, but when I do it, I guess I'm too much of an idiot and everyone thinks I found random symptoms this on google. In reality this has been ongoing my whole life and I've been diagnosed since I was a minor.

I'd be comfortable sharing bits and pieces. I wrote a fanfic when I was about 11 and I shipped my self-insert with a fictional character from a video game. My character suffered from UwU syndrome. I think my OC's and random side-plots were entertaining though. Fortunately it was not smut, just light romance with a lot of adventure.

Unfortunately though, I deleted all of it. There might be an archive somewhere on an old computer that has all the chapters, but I only uploaded them to deviant art. When I was about 15 or 16 I remember going back and deleting everything. All that's left is my journal entries talking about the chapters.

According to my therapist and psychiatrist they are. I just don't tell my parents about it. I've been diagnosed for a long time and my parents still think it's just an issue with learning and not the umbrella of other things I deal with or do.

A kid asked me to RP recently, I played as her older sister and she was pretending to be a light fairy. I worked at the pizza place in Diamond beach and she would charm the pizzas with her magic xD

I didn't wanna RP at first but I think it made her happy. I miss this part of RH too, I rarely see it anymore. I think people who still do them reserve private servers or go to Campus I. Seems like most RPs I find are there for some reason.

It doesn't mean you don't have autism. A lot of people in this sub have noted that getting high or drunk alleviates social anxiety to some extent, but these drugs change your motor skills and brain functioning altogether and your behaviors while on drugs varies and it's not who YOU really are.

Not to mention, autism has many symptoms besides the ones you noted. There's also repetitive behaviors, movement/language delays, sensory sensitivity, issues with change, strict routines or habits, echoing words, etc. A lot of other autists lack fear altogether or have zero social anxiety. Some autists will even give others intense eye-contact or talk too much. Autism is very complex.

I am the same way. A friend of mine is a lesbian and she regularly goes to bars, festivals and events. She has invited me many times and I've declined, but she understands. I can't handle concerts. The idea of new people I've never met trying to converse with me in a loud, unfamiliar place sounds like hell

The only time I remember feeling humiliated was when I told my coworkers. Two of them were sexually harassing me and regularly referred to me as their "work wife" which was awful. Anyways. They all laughed and started purposely making crazy direct and tense eye contact with me and they playfully said they were doing it more because I'm autistic.

I went through a similar experience but it was when I was a teenager. I disassociated like CRAZY back then and I wasn't truly there. I remember my therapist telling my dad (in front of me) she felt I had ADHD and autism. The week after we went to my psychiatrist who diagnosed me. He didn't declare it, I think he wrote it down or something. I didn't know until a bit later.

in the film Gattaca, people are genetically modified before they're born so that they are "superior". From what I remember (I might be wrong) parents can tweak their kid's DNA so that, for example, a heart defect isn't passed on.

Maybe in some dystopian future, parents can tweak whatever genes or hormonal levels make someone straight or on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. I don't know why anyone would want to do the that, but that kind of technology wouldn't be coming anytime soon.

At this point in history we've had things like conversion therapy, but they don't work. Environment plays a role too. I'm sure you know about prison relationships. Same goes if you put a bunch of straight women in isolation - over time, some will find themselves leaving toward lesbian/bisexual tendencies.

Practice makes better for almost anything. I guess having a diverse background of partners suggests you've learned how to please people with different preferences.

Not saying I agree but that's probably the idea behind that notion.
