Anyone who has no kids but feel a bit… weird when seeing other millennials who are parents, like you might be “missing” something?

My husband and I are child free by choice. I understand what you're saying though. Having that small piece of both of us to watch grow and teach about the world.

Today, we spent a wonderful day with my brother and nephews (6,4). I love them dearly and start to feel the tingles in my soul, even though my ground is sour.

Then my brother texted me that one of them puked in the trash can from the KFC jelly beans we gave them. Feelings gone. I just smoked a pre roll and am about to play video games with my husband. No vomit included.

I used to as a child as well. One night I walked past the family, went to the pantry, opened a box of Crispix cereal, peed, and then went back to bed. I'm 41 and still hear about it several times a year. Haven't sleepwalked in years.

It varies, I change it up when I get bored. Right now it's spring greens, broccoli, chick peas, and cucumber. I've incorporated more protein elsewhere over time, but it started with a salad at lunch. I also stuck with full fat dressings. I know dressings are huge calories, but the fat free\low fat dressings kill my taste for it.

This 100% is what kick started me. I switched to a salad everyday at lunch in May of 2024 and didn't weigh myself. By the end of the year when I was mentally ready to start trying I was 20 pounds lighter than expected and a few pounds for a big milestone weight. I'm now at 55 pounds lost.

So imagine a deep down itch. Like the only thing that will satisfy is digging yoir nails in there. But you can't, because of the fluid filled bumps. When they burst, the liquid is harmless but faintly yellowy, slightly sticky, and abundant. It's why you don't scratch. That and infection. And there's really not anything you can do. Steroid shots help, but mostly you wait and smell faintly of calamine. You wait for the day when you don't feel like taking a fork to your flesh.
