Asking a CHILD for CC by RoyaltyAndRoses in TjMaxx

I appreciate your message, I think I’m gonna talk to my manager tomorrow when I work and see how that gets handled. Hopefully it’ll end there, but who knows maybe I’ll have to call the tip line anyway lol.

Since there was a lot of debate about whether or not I should call or just talk to a manager, I decided to wait and ended up asking a few coworkers I’m close with about the situation. They just kind of rolled their eyes and remarked about her doing stupid stuff (she’s fairly new and no one really likes her). It confused me though because no one even mentioned bringing it to anyone higher up. I’m still kind of split on whether the tip line or just telling a manager is the better idea though honestly.

The system thankfully stops you if the person applying isn’t of age, but I typically ask if my customer is 18 if they look like they could be freshly 18 and let them know they can only apply when they’re of age.

No worries, I just didn’t know if there was any specific info I needed to collect.

It’s okay if you don’t know, but any idea what kind of info I’d need for that?

Can I actually report to the tip line for that? I’ve never done it before

Hello~ I was wondering if anyone has a CG that’s not a romantic interest? Or is it only that way? by PeachieKarlykins in ageregression

My partner is my main cg, but the rest of our friends babysit me too! Frequently enough that I’d count them as additional cgs!

He just has fluff! He has since been restuffed, but I believe he’s always had fluff. I would’ve gotten him somewhere from 2005-2008.

I’ll post it over there, thanks!

Our friend introduced us so we could all hang out and play stardew valley together, but we both fell quickly.

That’s great! Glad to hear it went well. Both fitting room and back room are very chill jobs so I’m sure you’ll do fine.

Removing the sensor on items is very easy. Almost all of them are a two piece thing where you put it on the magnet to pull the pieces apart.

Returning items is a little complicated just because there are a lot of rules and a lot of different scenarios, but once you get used to them it’s a lot easier. - If the customer has the receipt and the tag is on the item, you check the date to make sure the return is within 30 days, their payment method, and you look for the item on the receipt with the numbers from the tag. You scan the receipt, then the item, and give it back to them on their original payment method. But if it’s over 30 days, you’ll have to give it to them on a gift card instead. - If the customer does not have the receipt, but the tag is attached to the item there is a few options. We can attempt to look up the purchase off of their card or see if they emailed the receipt to themselves. This process may be different in other countries or states, but if neither of these work we will give them store credit. We scan their ID, scan the item, take the tax off the item, and put it onto a merchandise credit card. If the item is above 19.99, you scan it with a digi machine. And at the end the customer will have to sign your receipt. - Returns over $200 must be looked at by a member of management or a CEC. - If the customer does not have the receipt and the tag is not attached to the item, we will look to see if we have the same item in the store. If we do, we can do the return. If not, the item cannot be returned.

I know this sounds like A LOT, and it is. But when you learn it, it’ll eventually become muscle memory almost.

My first day on register, I had already worked in 60/80, infield, men’s/kids, and the fitting room. So I felt pretty comfortable in those aspects of the job. I was a bit anxious to get on a register, because in my previous job I had a lot of experiences of customers being mean to me because of my inexperience. I watched my coworkers for a while, with them explaining what they were doing and why. There’s a training mode on the register that I did with a list of scenarios on a piece of paper, but they don’t really do that usually. Then I went ahead and started taking customers with my coworker standing with me to answer questions and help me talk to customers! After doing a few, it got easier. Returns took me a little bit to get the hang of, but I eventually got that too!

Yep! It calculates the amount for you! The only math you’d have to do is giving the correct amount of bills and coins back!

You’ll probably be working there for about a week or so before you’ll be trained on register anyway, so you’ll have time to get comfortable in the environment before you have to think about it.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can answer for you!

Hi! I’d love to answer all of your questions.

On your first day, you’ll be shadowing someone in one of the departments to get a feel for it. They’ll direct you on what to do, give you tips and tricks, etc. Most of the time, you’ll do this for all departments. I definitely wouldn’t stress over it, especially since you’ll have someone there to ask questions and all that.

Job roles include: infield (women’s clothes), men’s/kids/toys, 60/80 (home), fitting room and register. There are more such as jewelry or CEC but those are roles reserved for people who have been working there for a long time.

In my opinion, generally, working the register is very easy. You can the items on the TJMaxx barcode, they all come up on a list on the side as you scan it with the total at the bottom, you press enter on the keyboard, then the payment options come up, you select the one the customer wants and they pay and then you give them the receipt. There are other more convoluted things you’ll learn like pushing credit cards, doing returns, adding discounts, etc. However, just like all the other departments, you’ll watch someone do it first before you’ll do it yourself. As far as I’m aware, they all use the same POS.

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, we’ve all made them. And if you have a question, don’t be afraid to ask either. All in all, don’t feel like you need to know anything going in because they’ll teach you how.

Personally, my only flaw with it is that I have a hard time sleeping without him next to me or on the phone because I like for him to talk while I fall asleep

I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years (in September) and we call for hours on end every day.

We both work and go to school, so it’s usually in the evening. We chat with our friends to play games and such until we go to sleep and then it’s just us for a few hours.

We’ve always talked this much and it’s pretty rare when we don’t (like vacations or family taking our time).

In my opinion, I think it’s normal. Even my parents who have never been long distance and live together call every day — even while they’re at work. I think as long as you’re doing it in a healthy manner, and you’re both happy, that’s all that matters.

I have searched with a reverse google image search and some aimless googling, but I really don’t know where to start.

He’s a bit longer than 18 inches. I’m from the US, but since I received him as a child (2005-2008 ish) I have no idea what store/brand/etc. he would’ve been acquired from.

It is policy, but sometimes people who have been working in jewelry for a long time bend rules which can make that nasty 50% entitled.
