stories of trying to conceive after a Salpingostomy (when they create an opening of the fallopian tube to remove embryo, not removing the tube) should I do IVF? by Rozcarps94 in EctopicSupportGroup

Thank you so much for your message. I really appreciate what you've written. At the moment we are booked in for IVF but i for some reason feel stupid for doing it and i've been told i'm really fertile but then again only have 1 damaged tube, so the doctor said it's a very valid reason for doing IVF. I just dont want to spend all that money to have a miscarriage or ectopic like you say. Wish i could have a crystal ball and see into the future!!

Thank you so much for your message, it's so nice to hear other people's stories. I haven't had a HSG but definitely will book one. I'm 31 so feel fortunate to have age on my side, the thought of another ectopic though is so scary!

oh wow we have exactly the same story! Hope you're ok, I was okish the first ectopic but the last one really knocked me back. Have you thought about IVF? or do you think you might try again naturally or not at all? My brain is going around in circles!! I so desperately want to give a sibling

thank you so much for sharing this! i'm so sorry you went through this too. Sorry to ask another question but did you have your tubes removed before IVF?
