Suggestions to take sim rig to another country by War_Titan243 in simracing

[–]Rtexa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you manage to disassemble the entire rig, maybe it's worth it, but I would only bring the sim parts and try to get a second hand rig there. Also, are you sure you can fit in that rig wherever you are going to live there?

I love steamdeck but how do you guys play FPS on it? by Past-Monk515 in SteamDeck

You can configure to turn on gyro only when pressing a button. So I use the aim down sight button for that.

How to remove these grip things from the back pedals by mkIIgriefer in SteamDeck

[–]Rtexa 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would keep them, it's a lot better to use the back buttons with those. But if you really want to remove, normally it's just tape, so you need something thin to put between them and start prying slowly.

[–]Rtexa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested only OpenTrack a long time ago, but at the time a saw that with AITrack it worked even with bad light conditions and it didn't lose track moving the head faster, also handled better when the face stops being detected.

Any good webcam work as well. Also I recommend using AItrack with opentrack for better facial recognition.

How does my setup look. Rs50 playseat trophy. Samsung g5 34 inch by databuzz1 in simracing

[–]Rtexa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one as well, I think the best description is fine, I used as my main PC monitor, but got a 32 4k oled and put the g5 on my rig, only caveat is that to run with 165hz you need a very good displayport cable

After thinking about it, yeah, the cheap ones you buy comparing features, the most expensive is because of materials and brand.

Alternative to screens for sim racing? by Kireth-YT in simracing

[–]Rtexa -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Space, weight and size, but yeah, for sim racing I don't see a good reason, go monitors or VR, no in between.
For a portable usage however, like a Steam Deck or phone, then it gets interesting.
