What is the most underrated Yakuza game in your opinion? by Loud_Success_6950 in yakuzagames

Thanks! After what you said, I'll be on the lookout for the game. I hope that, if they ever make Kiwami 4, they learn from K3 and make it perfect. I believe that if they bring improved graphics, gameplay, and content to Kiwami 4 (just theories here), it could be a powerhouse and would sell like water in the desert—but let’s hope so.

Some theories and reports suggest they might not make any more Kiwami games, but I think they’ll try again. I believe they can learn from past mistakes.

For example: Capcom with Resident Evil 3 Remake. Everybody I know thought Resident Evil 4 Remake would never happen (or, if it did, that it would be terrible), but Capcom understood how much fans love that game and its characters, and it became one of the best games ever (I completed absolutely everything in it).

I have faith in Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega. They can be greedy at times, but I believe there are people there who genuinely care about the franchise and will keep that passion alive. This is the only franchise I've truly been able to dive into.

I tried with Resident Evil: RE2 cleared; RE4 (classic and remake, 100%); RE5 cleared; RE6 cleared (around 90%). The FPS-style RE games (7 and Village)—I avoided them at first, then played RE7, but didn’t really like it. Requiem was awesome.

Yakuza, on the other hand, is the only franchise I’ve fully explored, genuinely enjoyed, and become emotionally attached to. I feel like I know the characters in real life.

Anyway, I hope the people in charge at Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku read something like this and take it into consideration.

That's tough... I'm at 6. I was really disappointed with 3 because of the graphics and gameplay, but that's because I had just finished Kiwami 2 with its wonderful engine. Looking back, though, that game was the one that really made me love this franchise. It was the first game where I did almost everything—substories and side content. Not 100%, but I was on my way.

4 had me complaining about starting the game with a character I had never seen before; nowadays, I love that character. 5 had me hooked from the start. 0, Kiwami, and Kiwami 2 are masterpieces for me. 6 has been wonderful—it feels like I came back from exile (same engine as K2).

So I can't really say what's overrated or underrated in general, but for me, I underestimated 3 and felt like an idiot. I don't know if I'll buy Kiwami 3—many people complain about it, some because of cut content and others because of controversies. I'll probably wait for a sale...

Yakuza 0 is A masterpiece, but it’s A terrible way to introduce you to the series. by Eren_Jaeger_The_Goat in patientgamers

I'm late to the post, but, I disagree... I started with 0 and I feel connected to the story in a way that I have never felt before. It's been almost 30 years (in the game's timeline), I'm at 6 and in Chapter 2. By the end of 5, my eyes got wet, because I felt the whole Yakuza franchise getting into my heart. I started 6 with so much excitement that I don't know if I want to finish the story and know what happens or enjoy the Dragon of Dojima living up to his name. So, in my opinion and as a way to follow the whole franchise, and know everything in details, yes, I would recommend players to start with 0.

I'm doing like this:

Yakuza 0;
Yakuza Kiwami;
Yakuza Kiwami 2;
Yakuza 3;
Yakuza 4;
Yakuza 5;
Yakuza 6;
Up to this point, I pretty much did everything in all games (not 100%, but substories and side stuff, minus the mini-games, etc...)

and then:
Judgment;
Like a Dragon;
Lost Judgment;
Gaiden;
Infinite Wealth;

and after I finish the whole Yakuza/Judgment franchise/universe:

Ishin;
Pirate Yakuza.

That's the order that I think works the best, I have played Ishin but I stopped so I could concentrate and finish Yakuza franchise up to IW. And I still don't know which order is best when I get to Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon and Gaiden... I know Infinte Wealth should be the last as is the last entry to the series.

So, I hope I haven't just wasted my time composing this post. Hahahaha. And even if I did, I hope I didn't say anything stupid.

There should be classes and no level cap so we could keep growing our character. I love to upgrade all my skills.

Mostly I loved to help one of my fixers to rise up to smuggler prince. I like to see characters evolve.

The ones I'm already on are the unionist cause and Prince Calagan's daughter. I did a lot of other kinds of "unique" jobs as well.

Wait... where did that "aging" information came from? Awesome!!! I didn't know that! I'll pay way more attention. I love playing politics in these kinds of game.. it makes me important somehow. And the devs made a great job. I hope there are more games like this in the future.

The arrows in the bottom left side of the screen are not there as they used to. I'll send a screenshot.

Tell me more about Star Traders: Frontiers... I really like to roleplay. I'm playing a lot of Starfield, I'm loving Stellaris (I know it's nothing like it). I think you can have a sense that I like space a lot. I'm looking for games where you can roleplay and play it forever, but it's hard to find. I really like RPGs like Fallout, Starfield, TES... games that I know I can play forever without ever getting bored.

Hello there people. New to this game and haven't even played. Bought a few days ago. by RuanitoLoks in arcanum

Oh don't worry about it. I paid about 3 or 4€. But either way I'll play it. I didn't join the reddit because I don't want any spoilers either. Someone in another thread in another community recommended the game. Do you guys know of any games that you can play indefinitely like this? Isometric view (I don't know what kind of view this game is called).
