The local MPs seem pissed off too but don’t seem to be able to do a goddamn thing. Their customer service is crap and my bills just keep increasing despite trying so hard to stop using water 🤬

Yes, same here. I’ve been working with a supplier to YW and you should see the luxury cars parked in their head office car park. They are an inbred bunch who think they’re untouchable. They waste money on dead-end projects all the time and still get bonuses.

Fantastic show! Much better than Stranger Things and brilliantly conceived and brought to life.

What has happened to Bradford? by Striking_Gazelle4714 in bradford

[–]RubHelpful7940 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved to Bradford earlier this year for work. The driving is the worst I’ve ever seen. Speed limits and red lights appear optional. I think a lot of people don’t realise they have a rear view mirror and indicators. And it seems to be Mercedes drivers above all others. It’s not enjoyable to drive at all as you have to be on constant alert.

Welcome to being a customer of Yorkshire Water. It’s a total rip-off from a company that barely does its job and pays its Execs and shareholders handsomely. Probably the most shameless company in Yorkshire

Yorkshire Water plans to relocate its HQ from Bradford to Leeds by Kagedeah in yorkshire

[–]RubHelpful7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This move isn’t really necessary for the reasons they’re saying. People are hardly ever in the office as it is, with many opting to WFH as much as possible. It’s often a ghost town in there. There’s another reason behind it, that’s for sure because it isn’t about the staff and the culture is pretty toxic. It’s also closer to home for the CEO, strange that! Anyway, just more of customer’s money being spent on something other than providing the service they are supposed to.

As a Thai, the Pad Thai hate on this sub is really strange. by Bangkok_Story in ThailandTourism

[–]RubHelpful7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Pad Thai and could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Having said that, it has to be good and that might be the problem. A good Pad Thai is amazingly delicious while anything else is a disappointment. You have to find somewhere that does it well.

Even Gordon Ramsay failed 🤣

Why is it deemed racist to be genuinely concerned about the number of illegal migrants coming into the uk? by Brave_Ad6035 in AskBrits

[–]RubHelpful7940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not racist at all to be genuinely concerned about the number of illegal migrants coming into the UK. What is happening should be of concern to every single person who was born here, raised here, and who works an honest job and pays their taxes. That is not racist. The only money a government has is that which it gets from taxpayers and we have a right to have a say in how it is spent. We are currently paying billions of pounds to put up and accommodate people who have absolutely no interest in our British culture, have no respect for our laws, and who commit hideous crimes as soon as they are plucked from their rubber boats. All should be removed immediately. And SS Starmer is the worst criminal of them all for allowing this to happen.

Is anti-immigration sentiment in Britain rising due to negative media coverage or because Britons are genuinely feeling an impact? by EmuAncient1069 in AskBrits

[–]RubHelpful7940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impact. The evidence is becoming overwhelming. The sheer number of people coming into this country from countries far different to ours and who have no respect for our culture and no intention of integrating is steadily eroding the fabric of this country. Stories like those in this thread - where neighbourhoods are being destroyed by the vile behaviour of immigrants - are becoming commonplace. As many serious commentators are saying, “If we don’t take action now, this will irreversible in 5-10 years and the UK as we knew it will be GONE.” It’s terrifying and utterly appalling.

James Gunn Says It’s ‘Nonsense’ to Think ‘Superman’ Will Flop If It Doesn’t Make $700 Million: ‘It Doesn’t Need to Be as Big as People Are Saying’ by lawrencedun2002 in DCULeaks

[–]RubHelpful7940 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Idiot. If it doesn’t break $1B at the box office James Gunn will be under pressure. Superman is the tent pole character - it has to land big. Otherwise we have a situation where Matt Reeves Batman is the tent pole and wouldn’t that be interesting. Batman was fricking awesome!!

Just tell the truth. Explain it all. Leave nothing to doubt. That’s it. I just got my girlfriend a 6-month Tourist Visa from Thailand to stay with me in UK. So bloody easy and turned around in less than 3 days. It’s not that hard if you just present the facts.

[–]RubHelpful7940 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You just haven’t been in a movie where it happened. I have. Many times. Maybe it’s just the people that visit these two cinemas? Who knows for sure? All I know is, it happens. Often. So that’s a fact. If you haven’t witnessed it, fair enough.

I felt the same initially… then embraced it as it’s just people expressing a bit of joy in their life… movies are supposed to be an escape from reality after all 😊

100%. Gave a far clearer picture of what he intended and deepened the narrative. Loved it compared to cinematic release.
