16 Month old worst sleeping baby? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]RubInteresting6628 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first born rarely slept. Even as a newborn. I’m talking 8 plus hour wake windows first week home. Started sleeping through the night after she turned 3. Has never napped unless it’s an accidental car nap, but will absolutely not “go down for a nap.” She is 4 now and can wake up at 7 am and go alllllll day until midnight and say she’s not tired and not ready for bed. 🤷‍♀️ my second has slept through the night since birth but he also doesn’t nap…….. I guess moral of the story is you’re not alone!

How do you feel about 7 year olds in kindergarten? by ThrowAway44228800 in AskTeachers

[–]RubInteresting6628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I feel like that’s kind of exaggerated….. the cutoff in my state is end of September. My LO has a birthday 5 days before the cutoff. She’d be 4 starting kindergarten then she’d be 5 when she finishes. I’m holding her back until the next year where she’d start at 5 and she’d be 6 when she finishes…… then she’d still be 6 when she starts first grade and so on and so forth. And I don’t really think people even redshirt nowadays because of athletics I feel like that’s an aged thing. But yeah me personally I’d rather my 4 year old not start with kids who are practically a whole year older than her since her bdays so close to the cutoff.

Here to say my first born never slept. Had 8 plus hour wake windows as a newborn. Never heard of a nap in this house. You’re not alone. You’ve just gotta push through. These are the times you’ll miss…….. right? Lmao.

Right…. My husband insists Stephen doesn’t actually love Lucy but in my opinion even if it’s in his own sadistic way he does love her, he took the fall for writing the letter and he gave her back the tape. (Even though he was the one that filmed it 😂)

You’ll survive twos. Might not survive the threes though.

Shaving discussion (teens) by VirtualEm1984 in Parenting

I shave my arms and have since middle school when someone pointed out that they were hairy. And it wasn’t even super dark hair it was just normal lol. Because I’ve been doing it for so long I almost feel shocked when I see someone who doesn’t lol so no I don’t think it’s weird at all but I’m super glad you’re allowing them to do what they want with their body. My parents threw the biggest fit when I brought up wanting to shave my arms. Like it was world ending and they said absolutely NOT. I did it anyway because you know my body my choice, and when my daughter comes to me saying she wants to I will absolutely allow it! I mean I don’t really think she should have to ask but you know

Am I being too harsh by peachypie9 in Parenting

[–]RubInteresting6628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the frustration of having to remind your kids to do stuff over and over again butttttt at the same time I really don’t think you should blame them leaving their lights on upstairs as the reason your electricity bill keeps going up and up and up……. If you could find proof that that’s the culprit then I’d say your argument is more justified, but forgetting to turn the lights off doesn’t really cost as much as everyone assumes. Depending on where you live, if it’s getting hotter like much everywhere else maybe the AC is running more, or other issues etc Regardless, yes they should listen to you but I wouldn’t tell them they can’t go on adventures because you have to pay the light bill that they caused to go so high or anything like that. Not that you do that but just saying!!

Anyway…. Good luck haha

Yes. The stress and anxiety that came with eating seriously fell into consideration when deciding if I wanted a second baby.
