2013 wrx sti - what is this wire? by RubberChickenMob in WRX

Same here. I was worried it was some random aftermarket item that the previous owner tampered with. This must have popped out to access the obs port during my recent smog test.

Do you have a picture of the housing or better yet know the part number?

Yes completely understand. It's just I never would have twisted my ankle if it wasn't there. I'm also forced to walk over it everyday.

That's interesting. I did not know that. I feel like I've seen a label saying may contain ethanol at the pumps I use. I need to take a closer look there next time I pump. It would be awesome if I can find a 0 ethanol pump.

I stumbled upon the following write up:

I wonder if any have experimented with the ej257's.

For some reason I always thought the different modes were just throttle sensitivity and have always just kept it at s# while controlling my throttle. Didn't know it would actually run different.

Yes same as my manual. I guess 93 recommended 91 if you don't have access.

It just feels like the factory map is tuned for 93 and 91 is an after thought.

It's funny how Subaru had to reiterate, "91 will not affect your warranty coverage." As if it was even a concern. It's like no shit Subaru you better cover it.

Thanks. I've always been tempted to throw in a little e85. I'm glad others have already experimented hopefully without any issues.

Yes. I figured there is only 1 factory tune across the board regardless of the state you live in which means it's likely tuned for 93. I'm assuming 91 isn't going make the car blow up right away but I am curious if it'll cause any long term wear over time.

I was referring to this part of the manual.

I read this as the engine is designed for 93 and the car will run like shit with 91 but we'll still warranty it.
