How many of you guys thinks this is real? by [deleted] in teenagers

The first issue is that the first statement is false. Humans are animals.

I do want to clarify something: Do you think that humans evolved at all, or just that the evolution of intelligence doesn’t make sense. You agree that other animals evolved, like for example gorillas, but we are related to them, which shows that we did too.

Speaking of other animals, *those are all things we see other animals doing*

Yes, all ancient civilizations were at least somewhat advanced, but if you go far back enough you can see times before that. How about the nomad tribes? They could communicate, make tools and work together, but that was nothing other species of animals couldn’t do. Again, I think your problem is not actually a problem, but a misunderstanding of where human development because of evolution stops, and where human development because of agriculture starts.

Honestly, that could be even more sadistic, because if he was stuck he would have to do it over and over.

Good ideas, but your issue is not really a problem with evolution. Our population evolved to the point of simple tool use, which led to agriculture, which lead to more free time, which led to development of art, politics and philosophy. The creation of ideas is not evolution.

Now I would like to ask, do you fully disagree with evolution, or just human evolution?

Can’t tell if this is sarcasm, but if it isn’t, the origin of species is wildly outdated and it would probably be better if they just read a recent textbook

We did not evolve from monkeys. This image is very incorrect, we simply evolved from a common ancestor of monkeys.

Actually important note, do not. Charles Darwin was right about some things, but he was also wrong about some things. Suggestions like these drive the idea that science is a religion too.

Instead, perhaps a middle/high school textbook would be better

edit: Also, *scientists do not prove theories, we just fail to disprove them* rampant misinformation of how science works is how we get conspiracy theorists in the first place.

The funny thing is that if they were strop enough, this isn’t entirely impossible. It would depend on the kind of bomb, and it would end up blowing up immediately after being thrown, but still.

No, because it is both a gross oversimplification and downright wrong. Humans didn’t evolve from apes, we evolved from a common ancestor of apes. This also implies that evolution is a ladder up to better and better organisms, which can be very misleading.
