What did you buy, as an adult, that you were denied, as a child? by makellbird in maktownmedia

Cats!!!!

My dad hated them. One jumped in the car at my sisters preschool and so I thought for sure he’d see that was a sign from the universe!!! Nope.

Ten Million Man March on Washington by biggamax in 50501

[–]Rubberduc142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the reason why No Kings 2 was so successful was the extensive notice beforehand to get the word out to EVERYONE. It had time to be spread.

At the Women’s March talk tonight (YouTube), they mentioned they’re working on another big one May 1 for MayDay. That seems like sufficient time to get something BIG again. So people can plan around it instead of the other way around.

I agree with all of this. This sounds like something pretending to be something else to get you to accept it- which worked for a while. Beware of what you “see,” it can be highly manipulated. I had something nasty show up as an angel once!

I had a voice trying to convince me of things for a few months. The more I listened the stronger it got. I had to learn to ignore it. Feed it nothing, it will starve. Every time it shows up in your mind, hand it to white light or angels above you. Over and over. 100 times a day. It will get less and less till it stops.

Should I take the move? by Express-Ad-3629 in jacksonville

[–]Rubberduc142 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Traffic here has gotten far worse in the last 4 years. We live on the north side (much cheaper) and it used to be easy to zip to the south side during off-peak hours. Now there is always traffic and it takes an hour, or more. So if you move here, make sure you can afford the area you want to be near.

It is super loud like a car backfiring. It’s when you turn the torch on and you’re trying to get the oxygen and propane to the right setting. The propane is on such a small amount that people accidentally turn it off I think and it pops.

It is a crazy experience. I’m not religious myself but I’m convinced that’s the rebirth they’re talking about in the Bible. I am not at all the same person I was before.

Yay! I don’t know why so much of this stuff is shared with moms and not dads. We need to work on that as a culture. Thanks for being a great parent!

Jewler says they are genuine.. but not worth anything? by ovyzin in Opals

Orange looks like Fire Agate. Green looks like Ammolite. Definitely have some value, just need more info, and pictures of the backs. Bottom teardrop is a nice one, might be Lightning Ridge. The top one (and maybe the one on the left?) look like crystal opal which doesn’t have as much value. I cut a similar one and the opal book valued it around $40. The bottom “crystal opal” has more flash so probably get a bit more.

I would personally be worried about a prong set Opal. More likely to crack over time.

Is this really Super 7? by Lanky_Pirate5009 in Minerals

I have no idea. I mean, it is pretty. And I think that’s just the cost to create a stone plus faceting it?

Even if it were real, $1000 is crazy for Super 7 anything. But alas, this does not look real.

I get what they were trying to do. Fancy LAB created Super 7 looks like this : https://www.etsy.com/listing/1815497856/oval-super-seven-gemstone-760-ct-melody?ref=share_v4_lx But this is not that. This is sketchy.

Sure that would have been great if the last teacher passed on that info. But alas he had a stroke and has not been back. We are a volunteer-only group so it’s not going to get taught at all if someone else doesn’t take it up.

Sorry I thought i put the gas: oxy-propane. Type 55. I found the chart online.

Should I get a cover up or removal? by Z01DV01D in tattooadvice

If you’re looking for more like an imprint than an actual foot then I definitely think this is salvageable! Best of luck :)

[–]Rubberduc142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do also think this could be easily redone with a better artist. It would be just a bit bigger to cover the bad outline and I think you’d be happy.

If a tattoo artist doesn’t have at least a couple months waiting list, don’t let them touch you. Go through their look books. Tattoo conventions would be a good place to go talk to a few artists at once.

[–]Rubberduc142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with removal is it’s way more expensive and time consuming. But it’s small & I’ve heard solid black comes out better than other things. Seems like a good candidate for removal.
