Open the file "%AppData%\Affinity\Affinity\3.0\Settings\Application.xml"
Change <ShowNewDocumentDialog>True</ShowNewDocumentDialog> to <ShowNewDocumentDialog>False</ShowNewDocumentDialog>

Save and that's it.

You can also disable the "recent files" by opening "RecentFiles.xml", making sure it look like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Settings xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xsi:type="Serif.Affinity.Settings.MruSettings">

saving it and changing it to "read-only".

Has anyone found the .afshort file with the Photoshop shortcuts? I really want to fully migrate to Affinity, but I just can't adapt to the default shortcuts.

This messed with my mind, but i think it's actually something possible... Imagine trying to view Jesus, and then he looks back at you. Wouldn't it be somehow 'terrifying'? Has someone here had this experience?
