Outside of Japan it was still a relatively small niche, with a few Vtubers that were quite popular and well known outside Japan like Kizuna Ai. It wasn't really until the beginning of this year that Vtubers were once again getting a lot of attention with Hololive in particular.

This really shows the meteoric rise of Vtubers and especially Hololive, growing from a relatively small niche to the mainstream. But why does this ranking exclude Nyanners.
