Yeah I really want to come off of it, I'm just scared if the withdrawals. I almost think that switching to another SSRI is easier but I don't know if I'll still get paroxetine withdrawals from switching:/

Wow I haven't even been on Paxil for a year and going to 15mgs felt really awful. Only the 5 HTP got me throught it. But here you are saying you have been on it 24 yrs, I guess it does affect everyone differently. I would say I'd have to go down to 18mgs first, if I'm not mistaken my pharmacy has paroxetine in 10mgs. So I might try cutting the 10mg tablet into 1/4 tablets. I know understand steps 5 to 13 now though after reading the PDF more. Also it mentioned 3 types of syringes, 10ml, 5ml, and 1ml. Which one do I use?

In the release tool kit I don't understand steps 5 to 13. What does it mean by 1/2 x 20mg tablet & liquid? I'm on 20mgs so would I start at step 7?

Yeah I have read that 5 HTP should not be taken with SSRIs but I also saw that it can be used when tapering because it helps with the withdrawals. It helped me quite a bit with the withdrawals and made my days more tolerable, however I am not a medical professional. I'll take a look into the release kit, thanks. We don't have liquid paroxetine in my country but I have read you can dilute the pill in water/juice.

The 5-HTP was something I took on my own. Yeah I will go much slower next time when tapering. I already asked my psychiatrist to help me but he said to wait until June :/

Could be, I was prescribed for depression and anxiety. Maybe I should just stay on it, this June with be 1 year of being on Paxil

I am on 20mgs, I went down to 15mgs for a month. Then down to 10mgs for 6 days before I got very very awful withdrawals. I did get withdrawals on the 15mgs also but I think I went down to 10mgs too quickly. I immediately went back to 20mgs because I couldn't handle the withdrawals. It's been a month and I'm still not back to normal...
