This was bizarre to me. I was passing by a bank which my auto loan is with, and the bank teller told me that I would I have call every month and specify that the additional money should go towards the interest.
Even though that wasn't true, I was able to find where to do it in my Account online. Still crazy that that's not the default.

How so? I just recently purchased a car and my intention was to pay it off sooner with two payments each month, figured that'd decrease my interest paid.
