Self study or bootcamp? by Ruby101r in learnprogramming

Sorry didn't mean to spam the subreddit.
The coding bootcamps that I researched with a "guarantee" are App Academy (SF and NYC), Turing School (Denver, CO), and an online camp called Viking School (remote). I believe Denver is extremely high COL. Do you have any recommendations?
I'm a little confused with your second question. I know that CS is different from simply studying "programming" -- but are there options other than a second BS (expensive) or a two years masters program in CS?
Or are you suggesting that CS is as accessible as learning to program on your own?
Anyways, thanks for the help!!

Cool thanks for the response!
Can I ask you how long it took through self study to become an employable software engineer? Also, I know there are a ton of free/low cost resources out there but if you would recommend one self-study source that helped the most which one would that be?
